I was wondering if anyone knows of a shop or online site that sells iphones (new if possible) cheaper?

I am aware of ebay and gumtree but would like to know if there is anywhere else.

Also are they sold anywhere cheaper for returned phone that have been fixed or unsold phones?

I also know that i will be paying a lot of money but any savings would be great.

This is to replace my lost iPhone 5 and my contract sim will be goin into it.

thanks

Just remember that the CPW iPhones are only unlocked until you pop in the first sim, then they lock to that network.
The only true sim free iPhones are from Apple...

To be honest you'd be best buying one from Apple. as has been mentioned any other will lock to the SIM used.

With the best will in thw world iPhone are targets for thieves, buying one used is a minefield, it may be fine, or in a few months you may find it blocked as someone has reported it stolen to claim on insurance.

Buy it from someone where there is some tracability and comeback, Ebay should be OK if they have good feedback, but not a bloke in the pub or someone on Gumtree who you may never see again and only have a mobile no as a contact.

There is no 'best' place - they fly off the shelves without assistance so no need for discounts. Best I saw was Quidco offering 3% from an Apple Store purchase.

Another contract doesn't help the OP (and that deal means a locked handset).

There was a poster who posted abt the 02 refresh iphone deal and how it could be paid off the next day but it seems it has been deleted. He suggested that you could pay off the phone the next day you bought it and that would save you money as it would amount to just over 400 pounds and you could get it unlocked. however in the absence of being able to find his thread or post and 02 website not being clear id avoid it

I find it hard to believe that people are still paying £400+ for a phone that, according to Which, is only half the speed of a Samsung Galaxy S4 and only comes 7th overall in their speed tests!!!!!!
    iPhones are sooooo yesterday!!!

I find it hard to believe that people would pay £400+ for a phone that feels like its made from recycled ice cream tubs.

  • I would agree with the above comments, carphone warehouse is probs one of the cheapest (whilst being trustworthy!) places out there!
