ANPR parking ticket for trespassing nightmare

I checked my account and they havnt taken any money yet.
I currently have a new rental from hertz with a new agreement number, maybe they will try to take the charges after I return the vehicle next week.
The credit card I used for the new rental and the previous rentals has also been cancelled a couple of weeks ago as I had lost it.
I was thinking of taking a new rental agreement again next week but I am not sure if they will charge my new credit card with these Parking chargers, if you know what I mean.0 -
Nope they can't do that as its unlawful, but seriously do you really want to give them your business if this is the way they treat you ? Maybe add that to your letter to them. When posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. They DO monitor the forum.

Cancelling a card doesn't cancel the account, nor stop any debits from that account.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I have just confirmed that ANPR Ltd requested the details from DVLA on 5th August 2013. They have therefore ignored the POPLA appeal which was confirmed on 31/7/13. I sent a complaint to DVLA explaining everything that had happened, but they just told me to write to BPA. I've also sent a complaint to BPA and POPLA, will update when I hear back from them.0

And refuse the debit (before the hire firm attempt to take it) by telling your card company that the amount is unauthorised and disputed.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Typical of the dvla, ANPR have unlawfully got the RK details from the dvla. I would go back to them and ask them to raise your complaint further, I'm sure there is a higher place you can complain too, tell them you are unhappy with the response and would like to take it higherWhen posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. Agree with Stroma.
You need to be blunt with the DVLA. Remind them that the legislation that allows them to pass on the keeper details requires the applicant to show justifiable cause for that application. The cosy relationship they have with a particular trade association (yes, the BPA Ltd) does not absolve them from such responsibility. Demand that they tell you what the justifyable cause was in your specific case (no fudging or hiding behind back-room deals), and what they are going to do about such a clear breach of the law.
P.S. @hal81, you haven't yet indicated whether payment has been taken by the rental company or not. You need to be proactive to prevent them doing so.0 -

I agree with you both, this is a complaint about the DVLA releasing the data where there was no lawful, let alone 'reasonable' cause.

Do not let the DVLA brush this under the carpet otherwise EVERY AOS member could try this little trick, when a driver/hirer has already appealed and the PPC realises it's a hire/company car.

POPLA will cancel any appeals where the ticket has been paid, so to stop them doing this phone Richard Reeve the tribunal manager on 0207 520 7202 and explain the situation. I wouldn't bother with lesser minions, you might as well go straight to the admin boss.Dedicated to driving up standards in parking0

Well, he should be readily available to the motorist. After all, he has made himself so to the PPCs.
