I think a new thread for the new year would be good. Once I've got all my Christmas stuff done for this year I'll go back to Celtic lady, and I want to do a heart with Welsh writing on for my sisters leap year wedding anni.
Almost finished the franker turner stitch I've got the spacing slightly out but I'm sure ds1 won't notice or complain.

Hi all,

Loving all your work I think a new UFO thread would be a great idea. This one is really long now and I'm surprised Admin haven't asked us to start afresh.

Need to think about what to work on for next year. Would love to finish Pretty Little Sydney and then get on with Collecting Shells, the third in a series, which when finished I can get all three framed. Need to get saving up eeek!!!

Really slow at work today (I'm on my own) and couldn't manage to bring in any crochet as already had gifts for my colleagues (two tins of biscuits), a parcel to post to my cousin who had a baby on Tuesday, plus my gym kit and lunch bag. Felt like muffin the mule walking up the road lol!

I'm really sorry I haven't posted on here for a while and in particular that I haven't thanked nmm for her gorgeous card. December has been a really difficult month with issues over the care packages for both my DH and for my elderly parents, computer problems, car problems, house maintainence problems on top of the usual busiest time of the year at work and the usual Christmas preparations.
I logged on yesterday intending to write this message then but was interrupted by one of the repair men who seem to have become almost a permanent feature of my life at the moment
I'm actually sitting at the hairdressers writing this taking full advantage of some "me time"

Nmm's lovely card is on display with lots of snowmen decorarations so looks right at home. I love it thank you

Now to go back and catch up on the messages here

Love all the cards What a variety of designs and styles. I have framed both of mine from previous years and they are on display with the rest of my Christmas stitching. Will start looking for a suitable frame for this year

I do think a new thread is a good idea with a bit more relevance to money saving. Perhaps we could combine finishing UFOs and stitching new projects from stash instead of buying ? I really need to reduce some of my stash and to me that's more of a priority than finishing lots of UFOs

Sorry the craft fair isn't working for you Coxy. Hopefully you can come up with some thing which is more profitable. I love your cushion. I'm with mrsmp and have never managed to master crochet

Oh FOS, sorry to hear about all your troubles, but glad you are ok we were getting worried about you. I can't take credit for your lovely snowman card it was Coxy11 that sent it to you.
I think its a great idea to combine UFO's and using up stash, as you say we are a money saving forum. Is it too early to start a 2016 thread?

So glad you like the card FoS - I was getting worried about you as you hadn't posted in a few days. Sorry to hear you have had your troubles, and I do hope things are resolved soon.

I am still debating what to do regarding craft fayres next year. I haven't made much progress on my crocheted cushions this week and I'm not confident that they would sell, so there's a danger I would end up with loads of bulky stock to store somewhere

I'd like to take part in the new thread for WIPs please. Can I declare my latest project as Pretty Little Sydney - have been on it since May so about time it was completed! nmm - are you happy to start the new thread for 2016?
