Can I ask your toughie opinions in sharing bath water?
You know I have a bath once a week and wash downs the rest of the time? Well DH still has a nightly bath. I'm not happy about it but he works hard and if he wants a bath, as long as we can afford it, I'm not going to nag him any further as he already only has it half full now. I was thinking of pinching his water afterwards and therefore saving my nightly basin in the process.
What do you think? Too disgusting? DH is a clean freak and doesn't do much in the way of manual work. I've spoken to him about it and he doesn't see a problem - just that I'm not to expect him to share my water!
I guess it's one if those things that is down to individual relationships/circumstances and probably that I feel ok about it because DH is really clean anyway.0 -
Re prescriptions I am parnoid about running out of my medicines. I always try to keep at least two months supply. I also hand in my repeat request about two weeks before it's due.0

I do the same for most prescriptions as well but with anti depressants the doctors wont allow a build up of medicine so can only be ordered 7 days in advance at our practice. DS15 has anti anxiety meds and we have a right performance getting them in time its so strict.
I couldn't get into see our doctors this morning so must try again tomorrow. I probably cost have really kicked off but to be honest I am so tired I just didn't have the fight.
Fuddle I think you have answered your own question it's down to personal feelings. If you are comfortable with it then that is all that is important.
Nutty hope today went ok.0 -
POOKY...I get terrible sinus headaches most of the time, ive had sinus probs for 6 years now , since Ive given up smoking, ive tried all there is to try but all to no avail..........Im always being put on antibiotics but they are useless too.........Ive also had numerous sessions of acupuncture ,always very costly............ 3 months ago I asked my GP would he please refer me to ENT department at the hospital , and ive now got my appointment for this Thursday 21 nov............................The thing I dont need is constant headaches, but ive got them badly.............
Then got dentist appointment at 2 in the afternoon, the hospital is a 56 mile round trip , as I cant drive for a while im getting someone to take me, sure do miss my car..........
FUDDLE....... Fuddle:
I think its fine sharing bath water. I can never understand why people are fussy when its sharing with one of your own?? I mean, If the water is black then fair enough, A little yuk, But i cant see anything wrong with it. After all people share water at the swimming baths.
OH refuses to get in the bath after me though. He says that he cant stand the hair floating in the water (From my head!)
SQ: Doctors and rep workers now adays are awful. I have been weeks without my AD's because someone has lost the script or the computer states i'm not entitled to another load - A computing error. I do think you need to stand your ground.
No one quite understands until their on medication themselves just how nasty it is having the side effects. I would become a pain in their backside until you get a script. Many GP'S now will issue with a temp amount to cover you until you managed to get seen. So maybe ask for that? Either way i do hope you dont have to worry and get your meds in time xxFuture goals:

Beat Depression.

Our GPs refuse to reorder any prescription until at least 3 weeks after last order so it is just not possible to build up an emergency supply of medication.
And it takes a full 48 hours after ordering before the prescription can be collected - so if a weekend is coming up it can take 4 days to have new prescription in hand. That's before the pharmacist makes us come back another day to collect it.:eek:Use it up, Wear it out, Make it do, Do without.0 -

We're signed up with one of the big pharmacies, they do all the reordering for us, we just go and collect, it's ready around 10 days before the date we give so if we're passing we can pop in. (that includes DHs anti-d's)
Fuddle - I have no issue with sharing bath water, a bit of soap and a slosh down in second hand bath water still gets me cleaner than I was
Thanks for the raclette advice, I shall go have a look on the index.
It feels damp here and after being out for a while DH is cold so I've popped the heating (and shoved the clothes airers in front!) - will need to clean out the fire so I can lay one for tonight, I shall get the towels washed whilst we have dinner and then they can dry in front of the fire, I do hate towels and bedding sitting around to long.
Sausage splat for tea (sausage plait) will bung lots of grated veg into the sausagemeat to make it go further and I might be able to squeeze a couple of lunch box sized pastries out of it for tomorrow"Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. C. Field.0 -

This is exactly the sort of thing that frightens me. I have supplies of some drugs eg anti-biotics that I have bought over the internet.0 -
Hi all,
Been awhile since I've managed to post, but I'm thinking of all of you. I hope some of you are getting some much needed rest! I was wondering how PinkDebster was getting on with her new routines.
Just lots of work here. I took some time off yesterday and made some gingerbread cookies. They're lovely and should keep the treat monster in both of us at bay for awhile. Seems like if I don't bake OH starts buying more and more shop bought puddings.
Fuddle, we share a bath. Actually, baths are one of my biggest vices as I have one each evening. I generally fill it halfway. I like to be boiled whereas OH just like it hot, so he gets in after me when its cooled a bit. Neither of us is particularly dirty, although we don't wash hair in the bath. That does tend to muck the water up considerably, although I don't think it would put me off. They're a luxury and its nice that we can get them two for one!:rotfl:
Baths are also a great way to get warm Japanese style--get in a very hot bath, dry off quickly and dress in warm thermals etc. I'm usually warm for a couple of hours afterwards and by that time I'm in bed. Perhaps not entirely MS, but half filling the bath with hot water is cheaper than heating the house!
TBH, anyone who has a problem with it doesn't have to get in after us.:rotfl:0
