  • CC just an idea but would he like it if you got him a real christmas tree with roots on to use indoors in a pot of soil for this very special christmas and then to be planted in the garden to grow on and be there for you for the future, something you could perhaps decorate for the birds and garden critters at christmas in the future? It's something I would love to have , Lyn xxx.

That's a lovely idea Mrs LW!

CC - it might be worth calling your local college, have a chat to the media department and see if they know of anyone that could do the transfer for you.

DD2 is feeling poorly and went to bed early but came down half an hour ago saying how cold her room is and she just can't get warm. I've given her a wheat bag and an extra blanket but her room is bitterly cold (it's the only room with 2 outside walls). She asked if maybe we could afford to buy her an electric blanket for christmas.....i had a brainwave and I've just used my Mr T vouchers and ordered her one. It's in the double up scheme as well so a great deal.

I am going to try and make some gingerbread men and ladies from felt tomorrow. I have found all the things needed.

pooky there is a wallpaper made by anaglipta I think that is an insulation type thing. you can then paint or wallpaper over it. It is suppose to reduce condensation and keep rooms warmer. Just an idea if it helps.

  • We're all going to be here this christmas, He Who Knows, the two girls, the lurcher and me. DD2s hubby will go to his parents as they will have the baby next year and both of them want thier 'normal' christmas for the last time which is really sweet.

Thats perfect Fuddly one, my sentiments entirely.

Kidcat I am so pleased you are decided how your Christmas will go for you and yours. I also understand it better each year with Dgs, and his Mummy has decided the few things he would enjoy will be given randomly over the next 2 months, no BIG day as he hates it - no fuss no stress is our mantra now. However he does like birthday cake so I may make a nice buttercreamy creation for us all :D

I am actually ignoring it all, have finished all the charity stuff ( I hope - if I promised anyone anything please remind me ) and the last few parcels can go over the next 2 weeks. Have a few things to make as gifts for good friends and a teddy bear angel for DGs. Other than that just going to pick things up over the next couple of weeks to add to what I have already made. OH and I are both having tablets so we and the kids are all clubbing together to buy them both.

I have been collecting stamps from toscos and trying to fill gift cards from Mr A but none of the staff seem capable and end up deducting the balance from my bill on the day  then adding it back on ...baffled smiley....Think I will use the balances up on both and buy more stamps from Mr T.

Thanks, I didn't realise they still made that.

I shall have to have a rethink for next winter. If DD1 goes to Uni then DD2 can have her room. Then DD1 will just have to put up with it for the odd weekend she's home.

It's the smallest room but it's still got a double bed, wardrobe, chest of draweres and cupboard in so not tiny, but the bed will only fit along the main outside wall with the window on.
