Yes Fuddle I kept butter out of the fridge for years (not the same bit!). I use spreadable butter now for, well, spreading. I suppose that has nasties in too.0

A question if I may? Butter. I am wanting to move away from factory manipulated spreads in favour of butter but storing in the fridge makes it unmanageable for sandwiches etc. Can butter stay out of the fridge at room temperature indefinately i.e. the life of the slab?
I wouldn't keep the whole slab out in summer. What I do do, is keep a portion of the slab in a covered butter dish and that lives on the worktop and the rest in the fridge. (In winter I just put a whole block in the butter dish) I top up the butter dish at night, so its had a chance to soften by morning for making sandwiches.
Happy birthday Pooky, I suspect Puss's improvement is the best birthday present you could wish for, hope her recovery continues rapidly.0 -

That's just it, I personally don't view it as twaddle. As to why, I don't know? All I do know is that I find this alternative therapy calming, almost spiritual. Perhaps it's because I have ancestors from asia, who knows??
I also like more down to earth pursuits such as gardening, walking in the countryside so I'm not totally kooky

If it works for you PEONY then why not? It's one of the best things about OS that we all have a slightly different outlook on life and all its little foibles, it's what makes us so rich and able to share such a diversity of information with all out OS friends, Cheers Lyn xxx.0

I think quite often it's the way things are presented... if SQ was expecting a time management session that it's a bit of an adjustment to start talking about chakras!
I find colour a very useful tool for visualisation, and it really helps with pain relief for chronic pain sufferers. I'm not good at relaxation, and ironically it is one of those things that really does take practice.0 -

That's exactly what I thought while I was loading up the dw. They should have made it clear as obviously not everyone would find this approach helpful to them.
It's like my mum, she could never understand how I found yoga calming, my mum would get het up while trying to meditate.
SQ, I do hope that by my posts I won't upset you in anyway, I haven't been upset at all, just fascinated by all the alternative/diverse views.

Morning everyone, feeling slightly less tired today. Ive been for a treat had my hair cut so feeling better. AD's are helping me sleep too.
Yesterday me and both DD's had a day out. I was window shopping and dreaming of what I would love to buy, but it was nice to finally spend some time with her after last weekends events. I didn't buy either of my girls anything, and it was very hard. Well I bought us a pot of tea in the tea room. Youngest DD asked for a few bits, but I had agreed with my OH to be not buying.
Sunday we stated doing my mums garden, it will be a good few months before it is all sorted. She is so glad that it has started to look like how my dad used to have it. We bought reduced priced marigolds and petunias in homeb@se today. They were 1.50 for 12. So she has planted window boxes now.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY pooky, I hope you have a nice day relaxing (if possible).
Well I need to get ready as I am working the later shift again.
This Thursday should be aldi voucher day in the mirror newspaper again. Don't forget you can use one this week and one again next week until Thursday......
