  • Morning everyone, apologies for not catching up on all the posts I am going square eyed as it is trying my best to find us a tent pitch for this weekend that is near the coast possibly north wales as the drive/petrol won't be as bad then but having no luck at all :( going to have 3 very upset little men if I can't find one, may have to pitch it on our lawn if not ;D
It is our 9th wedding anniversary today so we opened the cards together this morning before DH had to shoot off to work and his Dad & wife have very kindly sent us £50 which is a huge help for us at the moment, and will go a long way to giving the boys a holiday this year. Off to search for more tent pitches, any recommendations would be gratefully received.

Docky: So glad you are feeling better. Spelling classes resume tomorrow. Be kind to your Mum, it makes her unhappy when you are not well.

    Action reporter here!

On my 5th week of kelp. Very impressed. I was not particularly tired but I feel so much more energetic. Pooky I have crohns and have to be careful, but I take it with my breakfast and have no bother. I have bought the animal powdered stuff for the cats and hope it helps them as they are rather elderly.

Put the heating on last night for an hour. Felt damp and chilly here in the West of Scotland.

Thanks SQ, I've been very sensible and kept the appointment - I'm a bit notorious for cancelling :o My Dr thinks I might have asthma brought on by the bronchitis, so I now have an inhaler and some steroid tablets

The tablets are only for a week so I hope I will not suffer side effects. I'm already a bit of a fat lady so I really hope they don't affect me weight-wise.

Cool and cloudy here :( Doing a bit of washing and hopefully some housework later if I'm up to it - will see how the inhaler works!

Docky I'm glad you've got your ping back... a lurcher with no ping is a terrible thing! My cat says now you're better you can expect swearing with your hard stares but she promises not to claw you or spit at you, as we're all family in the toughie thread!

Monnagran sorry about the church politics - I suppose it is human nature and church politics have been around as long as churches have. I do hope the Rev and yourself have a happy outcome.

GQ likewise for SG - I'm sure she's resilient but she deserves better.

    Happy anniversary Carlymummy!

Welcome home Sunshine4, best wishes for a speedy recovery.

Love to all, hope it's a good day for everyone.

wow pops just looked at the prices for the killkenny's they expensive £13.50 for an adult ticket and £ each for kids over the age of £8. could go to the town hall for cheaper.!

We normally get a family ticket for £4 to the preston park museum, its really good value as it lasts for the full year! think thats for 2 adults and 2 children. You can even use it if theres only 1 adult and 2 children !

Brr its cold today, woke up at 5:30am and it was so dark, autumn definitely here :o

stiltwalker i had that with ds9 on sunday, i don't want to go archery! i don't want food (even though starving).
Just a nightmare, hope all is well at stay and play.

    glad dockys feeling :)

thanks FP now i'm hoping i don't back down when i get there :o
daft thing is the friend i'm going with doesn't actually want to go. Shes only going because her daughter wants to see the guniea pigs. So i'll go for to support her to, she's nervous in case her temper comes out. I told her if anything happens we'll BOTH sort it out together.

DS2 really doesn't want to go, but i said we'll see your friends first and if you still not comfortable when we get there we'll leave.
Can see it being a long day of tantrums.

carlymummy have you tried uk campsite, fab sites with loads of listings on and its free to use.

I am appalled GQ by they have done to SG, Absolutely disgusting.

monogran oo nasty breaking your tooth :(

I can't shake the feeling of  cooking chips in lard. They are lovely but I'e been brought up to stay away from the stuff.

What is lard? Is it any worse for us than vegetable oils? Is it the same as dripping because I have a faint memory of my grandma dipping her bread in dripping fat (the oooh and aaaahs of eating it were mystifiable (is that as word?) too  is it nice?

Oh what the heck... how do you make beef dripping?

Think I should get a cholesterol check! Did it all do our war time era people any harm?
