Fuddle--those floddies do sound lush--and Mrs. LW--I will definitely be experimenting with those. Yum!
Nutty--it sounds like she is ashamed of her own behaviour to the extent that she isn't worried about yours when she is sober, and when she isn't, well there isn't much you could do to be worse behaved than that, is there? I think if your management doesn't continue to escalate her warnings and consequences (with the view to her termination when appropriate measures have finished) as she continues to offend then you need to complain on your own behalf and explain what a toll this is taking on you.0 -
morning all!
Nutty - take a deep breath hun. I've been through this, fuddle knows just how much. Try to ignore them, don't feel guilty in anyway. they are adults and use any manipulation technique know to man.
We had fun at the archery yesterday, met LA and her family. ds2 got bored so took him outside with his friend. DS1 stayed inside with his friend and the dads lol
Both dads looked at me and LA, as though we were evil. Which we are, making our OH's socialise and making them play dates :rotfl:
After that went to the dreaded MIL to fix things up. I was in stitches when OH got made to eat marrow :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
He went pale when his mam tried to give us some to take home :rotfl::rotfl:
Well off to the coffee morning group, fingers crossed all goes well.
It should do i'm armed with paper, colours, sticky tape and cardboard!0 -

Can I ask about mortgage rates? My sister has had an offer accepted on her £100k house and got an offer on a £200k house accepted. She's said they have just extended the mortgage over 30 odd years to keep the payments the same but aren't the mortgage rates incredibly low at the moment? If and when they rise won't her mortgage increase too. Will the increase be staggering on £200k compared to what it would have been on £100k?
edit: i've just has a text. She's let her house go for £92k. £33k less than what the mortgage was 4 years ago. I'm really worried.
He has a good job, not rich by any means but a decent wage coming in and she works part-time for the council. I'm worried that they have bitten off more than they can chew and worried they are thinking that it won't effect them too much should the interest rate rise.
Do I say anything? I can't believe they are upsizing in such a way and haven't at all learnt by what I went through.0 -
Awww. Mrs Chip He's so cute. Ozzie would send a gentle slurp but I think he's be knocked over and then sat on. I hope he continues to thrive in your care.Goals - Weight loss 6/26lb at 22nd Jan 18Mmmm. 26lb at 1/7/18. Oops:o0

Unless they have got lots of equity in their current house, or a lot of savings (so can pay off a big chunk upfront), yes they will hit problems if the rates go up. If they are only just managing on the money that comes in, they will not have much leeway if things change. The need to do the sums on what the mortgage might cost if rates rise (remember at one time they were as high as 15%), to see if they could still cover it.Think big thoughts but relish small pleasures0 -
15% I never knew that! When I had my mortgage my rate was 4.5% that would be an increase of around £500 extra a month. The figures are extremely scary.
I'm really unsure I'll get back on the housing ladder and to be honest I think I'd be scared to try.0 -
FUDDLE your sister must have taken future increases in Mortgage rates into consideration and I would like to think the Mortgage Company would have considered that too. I doubt she'll want to listen if you try to talk to her about it so maybe for your own peacefulness let it lie pet, you'll only get another earfull from her won't you? For what it's worth we were paying 17 and 1/2% at one point and that was pretty horrendous but, having managed it we left the payments that high when the rate dropped and got the mortgage much lower. Then when He Who Knows was made redundant we decided that best use of the money was to pay off the mortgage and have less calls on our wages and we never regretted that, it made us secure, Cheers Lyn xxx.
MRS CHIP Little Al is so sweet, thanks for letting us see him he's a bonnie wee chappie, Cheers Lyn xxx.0 -
Mrs chips, love the photo's. I bet he feels lucky to have a mummy like you to care for him.
Work don't seem to be doing anything, as they 'have to tread carefully'. They quote it each time. Well sorry, truth will just have to come out. When I sent her home early from work for drinking there, she ended up inviting some of the 'locals' off the seating in town to her house for a party and ended up doing cocaine. The stupid thing is she told us!!! Self destruction as its best.

Morning all. Well my day has got off to a good start. I phoned the tax office early and they were very helpful. Said just to note the new letter I got, as was automatically issued, and that the previous arrangement would stand. Whew!!! That's a relief. So now I can enjoy the lovely sunny morning.
Nuttyp I agree with what everyone has said. It is time your employers did something about this colleague. HOpe you get thru the day ok.
What a gorgeous photo Mrs Chip. He looks very well.
MrsLW I just love your posts, they are so warm, comforting and helpful. I have copied and stored the recipes already.
My goddaughter is improving now. The hospital has said they don't think was a stroke after all but can't say what caused it. She is still paralysed down one side but is making progress with the help of physio.
I'm going to hang my first load of washing out to take advantage of sunshine & breeze. Hope you all have a good day.Use it up, Wear it out, Make it do, Do without.0
