Hi everyone.
Could've sworn I wrote a post this afternoon but can't find it so maybe I didnt send it!
Anyway jem I know De registering is a different process for those with statements but I believe its still not difficult. I recommend you join the facebook home education uk site to get your questions answered. There are over 1000 members and the admin really know what they're talking about. Let me know if
you have anything I can help you with.
Also mrsmorten I hope your little one does okay in September. Its very scary but there are some fantastic teachers about.
If you have any questions or just want to rant I will listen - asd can be so verb overwhelming for parents.
Had a fab free (almost) day out yesterday - took the kids to Eureka, we have an annual pass from last time we went so cost nothing more than petrol and a picnic.
Loved reading peoples foood memories from when things were tight, well they are in our house now so im gonna do everything I can.
Meal plan, lists and cheaper meals are first on the list. Im thinking soup and bread night twice a week and homemade cake.
Will try and use aldi and value lines as much a as much as poss.
Also on an electric meter in the new house but im quite glad as its spurring me on to save electric unlike before. Does anyone know if its cheaper to run washing machines and tumble driers in the evening?
Also learning to knit and sew. I know knitting isnt always cheaper with the prices of supermarket stuff these days but it's and OS skill I really wish id been taught and I want to teach my girls when they're old enough. Also really want to do some of
my own baby blankets and cardigans.
Also anyone with on going health worries do please go to the gp. Its so important. And push it if you're fobbed off. My mum ignored a cold a few years back and then the gp fobbed her off with antibiotics for a chest infection. A trip to A&E showed Pneumonia.
My sister had a bad leg and back for years, go fobbed her off as being overweight and told her to do yoga. She was too embarrassed to go back and only did when she lost all feelings in her leg and had to drag it along behind her - she fell over everywhere. Turns out she had a cancerous tumor. She in remission now but it was very toucj and go.
Trust your instincts and always get checked out!!0 -
Iris - it would depend if you are on an economy seven type meter/tariff as to whether its cheaper during the evening or not.0

Thanks for asking and I am finally feeling a lot better after three days of being feverish and generally yeuch. Managed to drag myself into shower this afternoon, change our bedding and even walk to nearest shop for milk etc as well as cook meal for tonight. Full house at weekend so washing sofa cushions, making up beds, tidying house and planning nice meals. Shattered at the thought of it all but looking forward to seeking them all.
DH might have a cancellation op come up so he can have his op on face for growth wart whatever thingy next week but he is still coughing badly and it will be a general anaesthetic so may not be possible.
Car has been drained of the wrong fuel and new tyre etc sorted out so DH quite relieved.
I am so glad that the fridge, freezer and cupboards were well stocked as I have been able to stay at home since Sunday and rest if I needed to without worrying about needing to go shopping. Even venturing out this afternoon was more to get me outside in fresh air than because I was desperate for supplies.

The other ones are closer to town and you probably wouldnt notice and they smaller than what your used to seeing.
The one your speaking of is very big which makes it easier to see.
The polish store is closer to the bed centre and the chinese store is near to the actual town centre.
middlesbrough has a lot of street performers and at christmas they are a different group everyday performing.
Elona glad you got the fuel sorted out.
Kidcat I'm the day got up a little but later but just couldn't get motivated.

Happy days all xxI have dyslexia so I apologize for my spelling and grammar0 -
irisviolet thank you x
I'm experimenting with a shorter cycle on the washing machine. The more modern the machine, the longer the wash cycles become!
I'm taking the children to our local theme park today. I've got the tickets much cheaper as the schools sell them. Taking a packed lunch with us, although if we're out all day, will have to buy tea out.
elona I hope you feel better soon x
I'm going to get breakfast for the boys. The teen is still in bed, will wake her up in a bit.
Love, hugs & spoons

Hi do you know how id know if it was economy 7? Eek I sound really daft now I know.
Off to aldi and tescos in a min to stock up then off to the park for a picnic with freinds.
Gonna drag it out as the longer were out the house the better for the kids they love being out.
Trying to do only free things with the kids this month (barring travel costs and picnics -although not sure picnics are extra seen as even at home we would be eating! )
We live in a very busy part of the country so im sure theres loads of free stuff to keep us busy!
Have a nice day everyone!0 -
I agree mrsMH! The washing machine in this rental is only 7 months old. I wash everything on 30 degrees because its a 42 mins cycle... Should I want 40 degree wash its 2 hours 50 minutes!
To be fair 30 is all it needs and I skimp on washing powder. I never ou in the recommended amounts - never trust those who are selling you stuff.
I'm busy renovating a painted farm house chair. A car boot buy years ago. I fancied doing it up but never got round to it. It's been a stepping stool and now sits in the garden as we have no garden furniture. The rain has helped chip the paint off so not too difficult.
Ill post pics later0 -
Morning everyone
Beautiful sunshine this morning, but cooler and fresher, almost an autumnal feel in the air (backend-ish, we call it round here!), and loads of washing to do!
When I got up to get out of bed today, I felt suddenly very dizzy, hit me like a hammer, even lying down didn't make it go away. Felt really sick, very odd! Sent DS downstairs for some sugar, thinking it could have been low blood sugar, worked enough to get up and feed the kids, but still slightly dizzy now. I need an appt with the GP to ask about a throat problem I've had for ages, so will add today's spell into the mix!
Today's jobs include naming the littlies' school clothes, doing a food stock take and meal plans and getting a PPI claim under way - what jolly fun! :rotfl:
Love and hugs to all in need.
