Elona, my sons both knew what the reply would be if they said anything of the sort 'Like it or lump it' as someone else has said. Hope you do feel better before you get the houseful.
Thanks again
I agree with every word from grandmasam MrsLW. :A
There are so many variations of Corned Beef Hash it gets confusing. I don't make it now as could never match OH's for taste. Well - he was always a better cook than me.
Have just received my first AF order and am struggling to find places to put everything. Its just a small flat I always have a hard time finding storage space.
Kidkat my mum used to make lovely crispy Yorkshire pud in a large tray. I loved it but have never been able to do it that way. Again, making the Yorkshires was OH's job but both sons have learned the knack from him.
Glad you managed to get your outing before the rain stated pops. I'm just hoping for fine weather in York tomorrow.
Am making fish pie for dinner today and tomorrow and hoping white sauce comes out ok. My first attempt at making it from scratch instead of using a packet. Wish me luck everyone.Use it up, Wear it out, Make it do, Do without.0 -
You'll be great with the white sauce AOT! Good luck.
Just a quick lunch break. Got some work done this morning, and will do the same this afternoon. Trip for the shopping after work as we were out yesterday and didn't get it done, then leftover black beans from last night for dinner. If I'm not too knackered will have a go at hanging the new curtains.
Thanks again to all, and esp. Lyn.
Hugs to any who need them.x0 -
Thank you for your welcomes xxx
Fuddle, you will get there. Although it does seem like 1 step forward & 2 steps back. Tax credits are a law unto themselves. We used to get it. We'd get an award one year, to be paid back the next year & so on. Till we stopped claiming as it was ridiculous.
We are moving this month. Husband is a recovering hoarder. I say recovering, he isn't allowed to hoard any more. Anyway, he got down a few decades of paperwork down from the loft the other weekend. It is far too much for me to shred so have had to call up a company that shreds professionally. £6.99 for a couple of bags & £29.99 for them to collect & shred. I am not taking the carp with me though. And in the future, I shall be in charge of the paper work. He has also taken at least 9 car loads (we have a touran) to the tip.
Currently trying to eat up the freezer stocks so as to have no waste. Kids have pork chops for tea. Myself & dh have various veg & he can have sausages. I cannot eat sausages. I am scared of them! :rotfl:
Bananas have been going awful in this weather so yesterday decided to make banana loaf. Discovered I'd packed the loaf tins so made muffins instead.
There are a few of you with autistic children on here. My 4 year old has recent,y been diagnosed. Along with Global Delay.
I shall stop my essay now, I do have a tendency to not know when to shut up!

Just de-lurking to say:
Mrs M - would it be possible for you to burn your paperwork? An old metal bin or dustbin. Much cheaper and wouldn't take too long (if you are not in a smokeless area of course)0 -
Morning all was woken up in the night with the rain pouring down and itsstill pouring down now
I think it's time to prepare for winter
Happy rain day everyone x
All I hear you lovely posters say is, " its raining" , well I wish it would here, we have just had 3 minuets of it ,:mad:, so ive got to water as I have some stuff flagging..........We really must be in the driest ever part of the UK, about half mile from the coast, I just checked on FB and in Ipswich about 26 mile away they had 10 mins of rain..........Its very warm too....
I cleaned the entire shed out today, that was a biggy:eek:, there was nothing to throw out, it just need putting back where it should have been, hubby use to do the sheds and tools , but now its my shed and my tools , and if im in a hurry doing a DIY job in the house I just grab whatever I need in the shed and dont put it back properly.............
Right off to do some watering before getting tea ready , god knows what we will have tonight, but knowing me I shant be standing over the cooker to do it............................Catch you all leter sheila

I have a very easy, effective (in my head) 'recipe for fish pie...
but the best advice is to poach the fish in the milk you will use for the sauce;)
I can let you have it...it's foolproof IF you have a microwave but could work traditionally.
Not been on much, as was in charge of another thread kllast week (and, to my horror it made the email I would rather it had been a week when a regular was running it).
Have a docs appt tomorrow as my asthma (if that's what it is) has reared its ugly head.
To that end I have just doen a damp dust and careful clean of the room which is the hall AND the study, becaise the PC lives here.
Have a couple of large items listed on fleabay; am hoping they go as my shed is full.
I need to write my 'jobs to be achieved in the summer hols' list as the time is whooshing by and I have lots of 'get a round tuit' jobs;)
But I have repotted my poor, starved old cactus. Nearly 30 yeaqrs in the same pot - no wonder it looks less than spectacular!
And I have finally started to read a book I bought (s/h) and haven't touched. Am enjoying it.
DD17 (I believe the numbers refer to the age of the child?) has been to her first festival. Mud removal is ongoing.
Haven't caught up with the thread (View first unread - how RANDOM is that button?) so hope all are well.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016
Thank you Honey Bear0 -
AOT good luck with the white sauce.
hope you manage to sort the paper work Mr MH, thats a big move for a recovering hoarder shiftin that much stuff - round of applause needed to spur him on me thinks. Good luck with the move.
My Dd just got DLA for DGS :j:j:j:j so she can concentrate more on paying for his days out and things he needs instead of juggling. And they put up her FTC and started charging her more council tax and rent :mad: Give with one hand take back with the other  Still its a major coup getting DLA sorted so fast.
Am struggling to walk at the mo with sciatica on the left side and shooting pains in right hip - gosh do you think the GP may realise the 2 are related. So Dd came over so I could watch DGS while she phoned council tax etc and she hoovered the entire downstairs for me. She knows I cannot sit and look at cat fluff and crumbs
Sending hugs to all in need and by goodness there are a lot in need. Mrs LW you brought a tear to my eye, you really are generous in spirit and Im sure the same in RL. xClearing the junk to travel light
Saving every single penny.
I will get my caravan0
