No tears Fuddle. It was rather an anti-climax TBH. But there's still proper leaving day in the playground and Leaver's Disco tomorrow night, when my friend will no doubt be blubbing so that might set me off!
I'm not sure if it's my imagine or it might be a little bit cooler tonight. Perhaps it's just that we finally got the fan down from the loft last night.
Sorry you feel poorly Fuddle, don't overdo it, I know I'm completely wiped out from all the rushing about today.
I wonder what accent my children have? I was born in Manchester but brought up in Kent, and my Japanese boss once told me I Bridget Jones sounded exactly like me! I think she sounds a lot posher though, I have rather too much Medway in me. DH was born in Walsall and when surrounded by Brummies he can develop a slight twang but otherwise sounds quite like me I think.0 -

Her disabled DH has been told he is "fit for work" (he really isn't) and taken off ESA immediately and has to apply for JSA which will take time to come through. They have 2 young children to feed and HB etc stops as well til new claim assessed. Their youngest child is full-time in Sept so my friend will be spending her last summer with the kids before she (hopefully) gets paid work job hunting otherwise they will loose benefits. We have out bathroom fund savings we could dip into to help tide them over but they are very proud and would need to be desperate to ask us. I want to get them some food shopping before we go away but don't know if they would want that/let me. What would you all do?
okey best get off to town
take care everyone

Although I am no expert I think if they appeal against the decision then ESA is reinstated at the lesser amount. Although this is the same amount as JSA if the appeal is upheld the award will be backdated.Mortgage and Debt free but need to increase savings pot. :think:0 -
Thank you Ladies you are all wonderful
Shelia,
One Dr today said he thought it was Lupus but he says it can take awhile to diagnosis. He says he thinks the specialist I am seeing in the morning thinks the same or she wouldnt be putting me on these steroids.
Mardatha,
Have been looking on the internet most of the afternoon to see what it says. As I had never heard of Lupus until today.
I have a long list of questions to ask her as the tables she wants me to take have one main side affect is Muscle weakness and wasting plus joint pain.I already have Osteoartritis and really dont want any more damage.
I think my OH is more worried than me he keeps asking if I am alright.
Bless Him.
I will let you know tomorrow afternoon how it goes.
Try and keep cool everyone.
and Thank you again
Keep well

SUNSHINE.......I was tested for lupus and sclerederma , im sure thats how its spelt, they both immune problems, thankfully it was neither, but I was very unwell, that was 8 years ago, I was under a rheumatologist........I too was put on steroids and did gain a lot of weight but felt so good on them , I think they were called prednisone ?..................
Both the above is where the immune system attacks the organs, but you dont need me to tell you that as theres a wealth of information on the net, at least you will be told tomorrow.....Hope all goes well for you..................Good luck........Sheila0 -

SunshineI had to take prednisolone for 5 months when I was pregnant. I have to be honest at that point I would have eaten elephant dung if they said it would make me better. They can make you a bit wakeful, but then the condition that I had was worse at night anyway, so him indoors slept in the spare bed for a bit so I could read or wonder round at will. They may make you a little bit grumpy at first so warn DH that when he asks you of you're alright and nearly gets his head bitten off it's the medication talking.
I didn't put on any extra weight because the steroids can push your blood sugars up a bit which in turn led to me seeing the most lovely diabetic consultant and being put on the equivalent of a slimming world diet which I stuck to as I didn't want to harm my baby by not following it and becoming diabetic.
I take the same medication here and there for asthma attacks too, with no bad side effects as they're just short term. 40mg a day is the usual dose for me, and you can't just stop them if you use them long term. They can be reduced gradually so that any problems can be noted and dealt with.0 -
Cranky,
Thank you for letting me know how they affected you.
I have read so much about them.
I will get as much information I can off the DR tomorrow.
Thank you again:TC.R.A.P. R.O.O.L.Z. Member. 21 Norn Iron deputy h

Hi FUDDLE sorry to hear you are feeling poorly today, hope it goes away very quickly and you feel better soon. We should get the biopsy results sometime next week, we're seeing the vet on Tuesday but it could take up to 10 days and that's only 8. She said it was not anything she had seen before and looked like nerve mass, but we'll know and deal in the next week or so. He's more worried by the heat than his stitches at the moment poor old boy, black dogs and hot days don't mix too well do they? Cheers Lyn xxx.0
