Nutty your breathing worried you huh? I can almost feel the sensations that are whiring around your body right now. The panic, the internal pressure building up, or at least, not going away.

When times like what you are going through right now hit, the likes of you and me have to look after ourselves very much so. Our mind and body have learned to stay in a pit of desperation for so long. Think about it - the time leading up to the event, the god awful event itself and then that first year. That is a long time to have to cope with the feelings that I know you coped with. It's now a coping strategy huh?

Ah ah. Nope. Shake it away. That was a completely different scenario. That was the worst of the worst. That was everything combined with guilt and shame. It's a completely different set of circumstances and, although very worrying, it is not beyond you to fix, cope with and build upon. You aren't at rock bottom this time nutty, you are simply dodging something in your path.

Hope you are feeling better soon. :) x

mcculloch29 I've just had my mammogram, but the last one was 2 years ago, it did explain in the letter why.

    Came back clear.

Nuttyp have been reading along but not posting much as RL gets in the way. Had to pop up to offer hugs/sympathy/support in buckets. Taking care of you and your health is what matters most, as long as you have food and shelter, everything else can wait. Take care and I hope things will soon look up for you and your family.

Sheila please call NHS/GP if you are still short of breath - doesn't matter how busy they are, better to get sorted now and you don't want to sit and worry.

Fuddle enjoy your well deserved break:)

Well done little Miss Stilty - still haven't seen Frozen to know what all the fuss is about but DD has it on did now (she is 20!) so maybe I will get round to it.

Hope everyone has a good day and stays warm, everything is white here, plucking up courage to take dogs out - brrr.

Not back at work till next week so lots of batch cooking to be done, found loads of YS veg for pennies at W@itr@se so carrot & lentil soup on the go, mixed veg soup done, carrot and coriander next. Maybe carrot muffins later. Do you think I have a lot of carrots :rotfl:

Also bought YS boxes of biscuits at £1.25 with best by of nearly a year- result!

    Take care all
  • I got a miele cat & dog, like this http://www.miele.co.uk/vacuum-cleaners/Complete-C3-Cat--Dog-PowerLine-528/ (except I can't remember if this is my model...) Not cheap, but I'd got money back from my energy supplier by using so much less than I'd paid, & used birthday money. It coped well with cat hair & boy dirt ;-)

Another vote for the one above. Cleans up hair and grotty bits from my 2. Ollie is long haired and this cleaner does a sterling job.

McCulloch, where we are it's all mobile units doing mammograms. Maybe worth phoning up and seeing if there will be a unit somewhere you can get to more easily by public transport? Or if it is just a routine follow up, put it off until the worst of the weather is out of the way? Only for a few weeks, mind
It doesn't matter if you are a glass half full or half empty sort of person. Keep it topped up! Cheers!

hope you feel better today jem and are able to get your jobs done - please be sensible though

I remember our first trip to the cinema with ours stilty and seeing their faces, magical. We have the £1.50 deal and free parking too otherwise we wouldn't go several times a year.

have a fab time kidcat, great to get things MSE. Take plenty of drinks and snacks too to save the £s.

have fun with your cooking alfsmum and a lovely time off work

softstuff - sometimes you need to think of yourself/ves - you only have one life - go on make your dream come true.

talking of dreams - kidcat my empathies, the one thing DH and I would really, really love to do is have a weekend away. With the family issues we now have, its never gonna happen.

DS and I are still poorly but no worse so hopefully a day of rest (well for me sort of rest!) will do the trick. DH has started to cough though, not good. We have cinema tickets booked for tomorrow, rare full price ones (well cheaper on a Tuesday here so still managed to save a few pounds as ever ;)) It is our alternative to the panto this year to save money. I really wanted to do a show/panto in London but need to balance the books. Something else to save up for and look forward to :)

need to go and try and eat some breakfast, not far away so see you all later
take care and thinking of friends who haven't posted in a while (you know who you are I hope) and sending hugs

DH is washing up, that massive pile of dishes has nearly gone - I must look ill ;) I am ignoring the method of washing up, putting greasy things in with glasses yuck. He is also drying them up so no chance to rewash some. Ignorance is bliss. I have had a bath and hairwash and feel squeaky clean and zonked out in equal measure. Clean me, cleanish dishes, just the house to do and that will wait until I feel better. I have no appetite so picking at cookies and chocolate.... definite healthy eating plan needed for next year me thinks. Excuse 2nd post.... getting bored

Hugs to all the poorlies and an especially big hug for Nutty. I hope you get a few things sorted today.

Will have to go out today I think we will run out of milk in the next hour. It's not just cold it is think fog too.

Alfsmum carrots soon go in my house DS and I both like a dish of carrot sticks to munch. He says he does not like cooked carrots but I just mash them and put them in a curry and he does not notice. I do that with all root vegetables.

Was hoping to go on"knit your square" and be able to say I have no WIPS (work in progress) we all have lots of them.

I got so wrapped up in watching an old Time Team Special I put a cardigan together all wrongly, fronts on opposite sides, It took me two hours to undo the stitching on each one. I sewed two sleeves together on the last one. I will have to go back to the radio for sewing up.

I think it must be to do with being brought up in York, I love archeology.

I want to speak to you all individually, but my mind is a blank.

DS2 and family should have been here today, but I'm glad they are not. They had an awful jouney back hpme. It took them 12 hours. The M25 was gridlocked, every road was crowded and they knew they would not make the ferry they were booked on. When they rang up to change it they were charged extra. The ferry company must have made a fortune because masses of people had to do the same thing because of traffic delays. Having eventually got on to the ferry my DS2 had to stand all the way to the Island, (one hour.) It will take them some time to get over it. Fortunately Mia slept on and off all day.
Looking forward to seeing them tomorrow, we are leaving home at 6.45am to spend as much time with them as possible.

Brrr! Isn't it cold today? beautifully sunny though.

Nursemaggie I am totally mad on archeology, and the Time Team is one prog that can always cheer me up. I used to wish like hell I lived in York or south of England so I could see Roman stuff, there's nothing up here.
