  • Thank you, thank you, thank you that would be wonderful and I appreciate the offer so much. Hopefully we'll meet up in October and sort out collection? The reading I've done says you harvest in October/November to ensure they will root. Zebra is such a lucky boy and you're brilliant, Lyn xxx.

By you have all been chatting today and I think some are missing as two posts don't make sense.

Congratulations to all those who got their GCSE results.

Given how generous you have been to me, it's the least I can do! I should be over the worst of the travel by October (besides, I'm trying to get the electricians back then!) so that would be great! Zebra is a very lucky boy to have such an indulgent Oma (mind you've I've got a trampoline, climbing frame and playhouse for my brother's kids...)

Well done to all our "youngsters" (a word always used by the Head of the school my DD2 went to!) :)

Hello AOT, lovely to see you. How are things?

Mrs LW The willow wigwam sounds a gorgeous idea.

Well done Master kezlou for going to the dentist :T

kidcat Hope your poor head is getting better :(

monnagran Good luck with the bedrooms. The Manse sounds as if it was in a pretty bad state. Wasn't it lived in by the previous minister? And will you miss having a carpeted shed? (:D)

I got on all right at the hospital yesterday, saw a lady doctor thank goodness. She said they don't understand why the locum GP I saw felt I needed an urgent referral, but in any case they are going to (hopefully) sort out the main problem for me. I'm on the waiting list and hope to have it done in the next couple of months :) The procedure they're going to do doesn't always work, apparently, but it's that or having a mirena coil, which I really don't like the idea of.

Ivyleaf - the mirena coil isn't necessarily a bad thing. I have one for health rather than contraceptive purposes (I'm on my 4th or 5th, as I've had to had them changed regularly when I've been having biopsies) and it has made a HUGE difference to my life. So don't dismiss the idea completely. I wasn't keen, but now I wouldn't want to be with out it!

    Afternoon all

No advice re Mirena myself but friends swear by it.

Floss - that cake in your avatar looks so yummy - did you make it?

DH is having a falley over day so any plans to do anything constructive have gone out the window - I've manage a few niggly jobs and he's now gone to bed so I can faff with some curtains that need shortening and maybe think about doing some ironing....won't actually do it but I will think about it.

Picked up the Mr A freebie mag yesterday and there's a free sachet of shampoo and conditioner just stuck inside so worth grabbing. DD's take these in their wash bags if they're off to a sleep over - saves decanting stuff for one wash.

Looking forward to a sit on the sofa this evening with some candles, bit of hand sewing and a big pot of tea....my Friday nights are just so exciting!
