Thanks ivy, its just been mental with everything going on here.

    Glad your feeling better :)

Maybe going away from OH's family either next week or week after. Never tell us till the last minute. So its a total nightmare trying to organise anything.

Last time we saw the inlaws was about a month ago and it was very strained to say the least.
Myself and OH split up for a month and he stayed with his parents on the night. but spent 6am through to about 10pm or later with me and the boys. Ate all his meals with us and ds2 only realised he wasn't here when he he got up at 5am instead of 6:30am.
We spoke everyday and went out and did family things so we tried to keep it as normal as possible for them.
During that month we worked things out, actually started to get to know one another again. Our relationship is now stronger than before and we haven't laughed so much in ages.
When we visited in-laws, OH's idea it was awful, they wouldn't look or speak to me. completely understandable i mean i did break they sons heart.

He asked if i wanted to on this holiday without for two days, i just sharted started shaking and went very quiet. So were all going together.

We split up because we loved each other but we were not happy and constantly arguing. We didn't think it was fair on the children or us so we had a temporary split. My mental state was appalling and started affecting the kids. But now were all happier and settled, the kids actually got to see OH's grandparents. For once in they lives they supported OH and allowed the children to stay over at MILS house. Which never happens without much arguments.
So i got to have 2 nights on my own having a nice relaxing bath, watching films. 1 night with OH and no children, doesn't seem like much but its the first time in 15 years i have been completely physically alone. Its was heaven but walking up the morning was awful. Used to having my boys dive on me lol

    Sorry the big rant.

    Happy Birthday PIC!

Sorry to all those with mopey dumped grown up children...I still remember being highly miffed with my mum for seeming very unsympathetic when I was dumped by a boyfriend. A couple of weeks later (I was away at uni) I said how miserable I was and she said' well he was totally unsuitable wasn't he'. And she was right, he was, but I didn't want to hear it at the time.
Not much going on round here, DH & I have had the weekend to ourselves as his parents had the children for a sleepover and today took them to the Harry Potter experience. Considering the ILs have never seen the films nor read the books, when they say it's the best place they've ever been it must have been good! The children came home with wands too so hopefully they can fix the car which looks like it needs to go into the garage, and the dyson which won't turn on, and DD's new mattress which appears to be too wide for her bed!

Pooky - hope DD throat is better soon, everyone I know swears by manuka honey but I havent tried it myself
DD is staying home while we are away so is here with the doggy, my friend is calling to take him on a little walkies round the block, as he isnt up for any more walkies at all.
If he gets worse my friend knows our vet and they will be ok to take him back for me, although if that happens I will probably leave OH and the kids and dive back to take him myself.

Possession - HP tour was excellent, we thoroughly enjoyed it, those wands were incredibly expensive though so be very careful with them :)

PIC - Happy birthday hope you have had a lovely day

Kez - good luck with the in laws

I have good news - big car is home!!! And he drives so very much better, I hugged the mechanic and almost cried. Thankfully he knows us really well and he has been an incredible support over the years, in particular since OH started this job. He had gone way above the necessary here and fixed a few other things as he went that he noticed needed doing.
He is taking it back in on Friday to replace two small parts that needed ordering, he says they arent urgent but if I am driving a long journey and back he would prefer them changed. He says I can drive it in leave it there and use his mini if I am stuck :)

Ooh possession you are so naughty! He is sort of in a relationship but it's odd, they holiday together and share a house etc but he works 6am till 6pm 7 days a week then he goes to the pub for one pint which lasts till closing!
He even works on Christmas day while she spends the day with her family. He pops there for lunch and then off to pub. A few years back they weren't talking I ended up dragging him to ours for dinner.

Ladies I have a kitty issue. Our old girl has started weeing in places again. It's driving me mad but she is refusing to use litter at all. Have given her a totally separate one that the others can't use but she is still doing it. Any suggestions please?
