Ok, where is everyone? out in the sunshine having fun eh?
I'm home alone, well shortly when DS goes to his girlfriends. DH and the other two boys are one their way down sarfff to see his Nan who is poorly in hospital but at 93 she's had a good innings.
If there's no one in here to torment I'm going to have to nip off to the lottie and water my toms instead.
Have a great weekend everyone

Hi all, ive been in work all morning, and until 4pm today. Tonight we are going ten pin bowling as a family, so it should be fun. I am not any good but I entertain everyone else. Mum has gone to my brothers for a while, she is not in a good way mentally at the moment. She says she wants to be with my dad who passed away 2 and half years ago. I did try and help, but not sure the correct things to do or say. So I rang my brother, he was going to try and talk to her.
Working tomorrow until 2 and then me and other half are trecking over to kings lynn for some wandering time together. I have some drawers from the sale to collect that ive reserved.
Well im off for a shower and a quick change. Take care all, enjoy the nice weather. xBSC member 137

I wish i'ed been enjoying the sun.... Instead I have an infestation of fruit flies.
So had to clean and scrub everywhere.. Set cider vinegar traps, and as I was scrubbing decided I may as well do the tops of the cupboards, which lead to taking the architrave off and repurposing some wood boxes for long term storage of things I use a few times a year which lead to clearing, cleaning and decluttering most of the cupboards in the kitchen.. All for the sake of a few tiny fruit flies.... :rotfl:
So tired now, need to decide what to have to eat, and wash the kitchen floor.
Tomorrow a friend is coming over for a cuppa so might bake some cakes later and have a posh high tea, um scones and some posh sandwiches .
Hugs to everyone.,x x x

Nutty I hope your Mums ok, it must really hurt to see her in such a way. Hang strong and look after yourself x
CC I cleaned a bit of skirting board and thought it could do with painting but once I get the paintbrush out I know I wont be able to stop.
My neighbour text to say he's coming home tonight (he goes away for months at a time) so I've hung a bag full of fresh veg on his door handle as we use his drive all the time. I hope he likes it.

I'm babysitting my Zebra as I type. he's fast asleep in the little bouncy chair I got for him and is so beautiful, he's been such a good boy all day and loves Docky dog, he's trying to touch him whenever they're close. Docky loves him back but isn't as gentle as Ezra would like him to be when he licks, it's lovely being Oma!!!0

Morning peeps, glad you had a lovely day with little Zebra Lyn.

Stay cool and have a happy OS day.
Hope DS is making progress kidcat and that nuttyp's Mum is feeling brighter.

Evening toughies
It's been a long couple of days. Yesterday there was a mad panic as DS16 breathing dropped really low and they couldn't get any response from him.
After a very scary morning and a not brilliant afternoon he picked right up and was looking much brighter. Turns out he is allergic to some of the big drugs they used.
Today is so much better now they have swapped drugs around and he has managed to walk to toilet and even go out in a wheelchair for half an hour.
Hugs to all0 -
Scary for you kidcat, hope things are going better and look after yourself, you must be frazzled.
Can anyone tell me how long I can freeze milk for? Bought a dozen x 1 pint semi skimmed in Waitr@se this afternoon at 10p each!0 -
Hi all, had a super nice day today. I was working until 2pm then we went out to get some drawers for the bedroom. Half price @rgos. I have been looking on freecycle and facebook selling groups but I am never quick enough so I had to part with some cash.
Mum has gone to stay at my brothers house for a bit, she hate being alone and finds the time scarey. I rang him this morning and arranged for him to be responsible for once and help out. He has agreed she can stay for as long as she wants and if it helps he can have the garage converted to a bedroom and bathroom for long term if that's what she wants.
Not nice to hear your mum saying she wants to be with my dad, and she contemplated it Tuesday night in the early hours. I wouldn't be able to cope if she did.
Kidcat, I am not sure what type of surgery your son has had, but my daughter had scoliosis and she had the same for things happen. They said its a reaction to the drugs and the body going into shock after a major operation. Roll on 7 years and she is all better, and apart from sciatica in her hips she is a lot better. Her baby - puppy called rachet - is her main devotion in life. He has a collar now but he gets grumpy with it on tho.
Well time for a well earned cuppa, hope everyone is ok and enjoying the sunshine. take care x xBSC member 137

Kidcat You must exhausted, looks like things are on the up for you though. Big hugs.
Nutty I find it strange that it's usually the daughter who gets to look after the Mum as if it's their job almost, not saying your Brother is like that but I don 't know a man who isn't. Try not to worry too much and try and rest while she's being looked after x
Too hot, I hope it rains soon as the veg needs it.
