    Morning all

Fuddle - Fab puppy!!! Well done you. Where's the pattern from?

I think FB is like anything else in life, you have to pick and choose the bits you want to read/bring into your life. I'm a member of a few groups and everyone is lovely and polite. I use it mainly to stay in touch with my family (and my business is based mainly on there). I think the trick is to use the "acccept this friend request" button wisely. I've no qualms in having stuff about me online, at least if I've put it there I can control what it says :)

Kidkat - have a fab day - brave soul that you are.

Possession - chuck a throw over it and ignore it - the sofa, not the bunny! Hope they love their new outdoor residence.

I'm off to meet a friend this morning for a quick cuppa and a catch up - we met at ante-natel classes with our first pregnancies (who are turning 19 in a few months) but we don't get to see much of each other anymore due to work/life commitments - will try and squeeze a few months worth of catch up into an hour or so.

Made a fab slow cooker curry last night - a tin of potatoes, a tin of sweetcorn, a tin of cannelloni beans and a tin of chick peas, drained and shoved in with some stock and spices and two big handfulls of sultanas - it was ruddy lovely. It made 6 decent sized portions (or 8 if you were having it with rice - we didn't). It worked out around £1.80 in ingredients - 30p a portion! Bargain.

It's a free pattern from Ravelry Pooky. It was meant to be smaller and tighter but I cannat be faffed with using a 3mm hook on DK.

That curry sounds lovely! I'm all to pot with my meals again. I don't think a 1 week meal plan works as we all get bored but my thinking is if I have a 2 or more week rotation then that means more basic ingredients needed to store which is more expense and takes up more room for my emergency stocks. I will suss it eventually.

Fuddle let's just say I wasn't best pleased.
Luckily it's at the bottom of an upright cushion, in the middle of the sofa, so should be disguise-able with a cushion. Might just tape it up with duck tape. Grrr.

Pooky, Pineapple over on the prep thread was posting about a shortage of cannelini beans so you might want to replenish stocks while you see them
It doesn't matter if you are a glass half full or half empty sort of person. Keep it topped up! Cheers!

Really??? Blimey - I buy what ever beans I find at the right price - these were B&Ms at 32p a tin.

I've got loads of dry beans to soak and cook up and freeze but I keep forgetting to do it and resort to a tin instead.

Found the puppy pattern Fuds - and lots more besides...I forgot I was even joined up to it. When I've finished my current blanket I'll have a go at some toys, I fancy some smaller projects than double bed sized blankets. The one I'm doing currently has 380 stitches per row and I can just about do 3 rows in an evening. It's going to take forever.

Hi everyone, I am so sorry ive not managed to post. I was given a token yesterday and then I nipped out and managed to find 2 papers left. If anyone needs my spare please message me.

Appologies for not reminding folk, I forgot myself - so I wrote in the diary at work when the next one is due.....

Well I have been given the managers job, but I am currently helping out with an extra days work so I am doing 48 hours a week.. Not for long tho as I am feeling totally pooped today.
On a sunday morning we are spending 4 hours each week sorting her garden, so far we have filled a whole skip with ivy, brambles and other weeds. A replacement was delivered today, so this weekend we are cracking on with finding the beloved pond my dad created. We are going to empty the pond, clear out the masses of green sludge and then fill it up and sort out the fountain. there is a lovely water lily so that will be saved. The rest is going to be removed. And finally the kids are buying her some fish for the pond. We have one very happy mum/ nan. Also we have moved 5 tonne of large gravel to cover the flower beds to make them low maintenance - we even planted a lavender section so it smells divine near her doorway.

Well im off to catch up with you all, take care x

congrats to nutty and AOT's niece. Nutty you and your family are good 'uns doing your mum's garden.... fancy a trip to Essex to help me with mine? Promise to keep you going with tea and cake!

Boys pestered me to go into town rather than the park - DS10 has birthday money burning a hole in his pocket (most of his friends at the party gave him money, he is used to tangible gifts) He has been sensible though and just window shopped today. He is just like DH in that respect whereas DS7 and I keep our money for ages until we see something we really want (and for me at the right price.) DS10 is good at comparing prices and working out if something is good value.

I should have stuck with original plan though as boys needed a proper run around (like a pack of dogs!) and once we had looked at the shops I had promised they could and picked up a basketful of shopping, I had to go home. We did stop off at the bakery for a snack as well. DS10 is mad about a particular pasty which we both had. The pasties were just about warm and I complained nicely. Apparently they don't keep many in the warming thingie (on a Friday lunchtime??), would have to wait 20 mins for it to be heated in the oven but couldn't microwave due to "health and safety". I know you are not supposed to warm such foods in the microwave but I do to no ill effect. Anyway before we left the girl serving us ran up to where we were sitting with 2 steaming hot pasties on the house to say sorry. DS10 and I couldn't resist (and he can eat for England these days) and waddled out of the bakers hee hee. Now neither of us want tea but DS7 will and DH is due in a bit so will knock up something quick and easy in a mo.

AOT - if you are reading this..... get back to the packing! This instant! :)

    Nutty congratulations

sq some days they really do just need to run dont they? :)

Aot forget packing just throw it all in anyhow. Mine is usually carefully packed but ends up looking as though I threw it in :)

We have had a wonderful day. We got there in good time and while it seemed like loads of people were there it wasn't that crowded inside. We were given queue passes again for the boys which allowed us to use the exit and avoid the hour long queues everywhere which is the thing that makes these days possible with the boys as neither would cope with waiting.
And they all thoroughly enjoyed themselves with only small spats and no major melrdowns. In all a very successful day and I would definitely do it again without OH as we discovered today its much less stressful without him. I just need to find someone who loves the big rides who will ride with ds16 and we are sorted :)
