Good luck with the job Pooky.
Well my rabbits are like the anithesis to OS living - they have created a big hole in the sofa and pulled the stuffing out. So today is the day they move outside, we finally have their outdoor mansion ready for them prepared with everything except sofas.
Now any ideas on how to repair a leather sofa?!0 -

PIC I think it was more people added each other as friends rather than a page.
WC I think it's particularly quiet at moment as everyone is trying to get growing and gardening sorted, add in school holidays and people are manic. In a few weeks the thread will speed back up most likely.
Possession Oh dear naughty bunnies. We have always struggled with the destruction a house rabbit brings, I always admired those who had their bunny well trained not to destroy I never managed it.
We are off to the theme park today. Have a back up plan if it gets too busy to leave and visit the monkey place near by. The advantage of the passes means I am not worried about doing the whole place in one trip and don't feel bad if we need to leave.0 -
Morning I'm still here, and will be as long as I have breath in my body. You're my lifeline if you like, the sounding board to make life assume some sort of order in chaotic times and the warmth and friendship to make it actually be worth living when times are tough. I know in the main we don't touch lives in the real world but we do on here and the sharing and caring and sheer good humour is something that can't have a price put on it, it's worth more than rubies as the saying goes! You're an extended family in my eyes and as such dear to my heart, lets keep it that way and keep on posting and supporting and sharing the highs, lows and daftnesses of life together, Lyn xxx.0

Good luck pooky!
Possession your rabbits are adorable but I would be spitting feathers higher than they could hop! I wish you well repairing the destruction and admire your love for them with their outdoor mansion!
facebook groups are a hive for nastiness IMO. I was part of a local mums group where I used to live (3 houses back) and boy were they spiteful. I'm not part of any OS group on there. Here does me fine.
Who was it that was interested in woodwork a few weeks back. Was it you PX? Kirsty Elso is on fb and I adore her little driftwood creations. I have been looking through etsy and folksy lately too. I love to see craft work.
There's a farmers market on in the NTrust place up t'road tomorrow so very excited for that. I am on the hunt for ginger preserve - my favourite!
I finished the puppy last nightI wish I could show you DD's happy face but for obvious reasons I have blocked it off. [IMG][/img]

Morning folks
AOT - so happy to hear you are going on holiday - have a fab time.
Pooky - congrats on the interview!
Possession - EEEEEK to the sofa (sorry no advice though)
kidcat - one way you know the gym is helping - great for anger/stress etc, so glad it is helping.
I have gym withdrawalCan't go in the day and eves have been out what with DS's birthday, DH's college nights and working late. Will be straight back on Monday though.
Another one who cuts her own hair (NEVER thought I would a few years back!). I have long wavy hair so just snip off the split ends from time to time. used to trim my fringe but growing that out now so even easier. I detest the experience of going, the expense and because they never do as I ask - ie a natural look, a cut I don't need to blow dry, straighten etc as I am no good at it and I happen to really like my wavy hair anyway.
Used to zap the boys' hairs too but couldn't do a good style and they look tons better after a haircut at the barbers. I wince at the cost but we go on the cheaper days to save a few £s at least and make the cuts last as long as possible.
Did a good bit of housework yesterday and so nice to come downstairs to a clean and tidyish house.... lets see how long that lasts! DS7 had a lovely little mate over yesterday, not one of the usuals bit he has been here for a party. He was very polite and chatty, such a credit to his parents and a pleasure to have over. All childrens' friends are welcome here but some are much harder work than others.
Had some nice news this morn. In credit with the gas to tune of £150 and they are reducing the DD from £48 to £7 a month. We have a lot of expenses coming up including our summer hols so that savings will be put to good use. I am not asking for a refund as I would rather lower monthly budgets. This is all due to a much milder winter this year for which I am very grateful and more use of slowcooker and things like turning off the gas earlier to finish off cooking etc. However have a separate electricity supplier and not had that bill in yet so that might be higher.
Few chores to do, bath/hairwash, pop to the supermarket for a basket of essentials and then a trip to a local country park is on the cards today.

Morning everyone :hello:
Not been here for ages, RL rather chaotic recently so not had time for popping in. Haven't read back yet, but hugs, congrats, commiserations as required for whatever I've missed. Missed chatting with you all!
Fuddle, know what you mean about fbk - I follow people much more than I post there, it seems really cluttered with junk, and people posting non-stories! I've seen friends of friends posting stuff that makes me cringe - bad language only the start!! The rabbit looks fab, I bet your DD is grinning from ear to ear!
Rather behind on all sorts of OS things, but got a bit more time and more of my mojo back, so hoping to crack on this week. I need to do a food stocktake and menu plan today, been spending a bit too much recently, with two birthdays, DS going on Beavers camp, and other stuff.
Going to try and catch up, have a good Friday!

Fuddle - love the puppy, you are clever!
I would like to connect with people here on FB but even after the kind invites, I haven't because I don't post on my own page and that doesn't seem fair, too one-sided. I don't want to post pics of my children or even of me anywhere on-line, just too anxious to so I don't.
I am sticking around here too as its my online home and an important part of my life. Thank you all for making it work and supporting each other. You guys really are special.
Thinking of maybe starting a blog one day though - not until the house is decluttered though.

Fuddle fabulous puppy
I closed my FB down last Sunday and I am going to see what I have missed about it this Sunday as it will have been a week cold turkey.
I have opened another FB page just with my allotment and gardening pages on and the only RL person I have on is next door as she messages through there when she's at work asking if I need anything picking up on her way home. A money saving opportunity I can't turn down.
So far I don't miss the drama of it all and would rather spend my time perusing round blog world. On here I stick to the old style pages as some of the others can be a little prickly IYKWIM.

PIC, that sounds an interesting way of using fbk, much healthier than loads of people I know! If I could disconnect mine I would, but it's the easiest way for me to connect to family abroad - instant/private messages etc. I seem to spend a lot of time getting rid of ads, unliking pages to tidy it up, etc. I concur about prickly pages, applies to so many sites.
