silva saver - That sounds like a really lovely outing! Glad you DH has his trike now.
boultdj - I've never seen well-dressing, even on TV, as far as I can remember. Any chance you could post a pic of your village's well when it's all done? I'd love to see it. i understand flower petals are involved?

I went to the well dressing once Bouldtj, its absolutely amazing. Actually we are not far from Derbyshire, lovely place.
Someone has planted a tiny pansy in the corner of my grass verge - how random and beautiful.
Just been to the market and Mr T and loaded the fridge with salady bits and cooked chicken so I can throw a meal together when Oh seems hungry, I have to be quick before it wears off. OMG have you seen the price of spreadable butter  horrific. In my logic if a pack of butter is 99p and they whip it up with water and stuff how does it end up £3. Got proper butter in a lock and lock now as this weather means it will be easy to use
Right off to make cake as Dd got a bag full of very reduced honey from work - 30p a jar. Its rare the staff get anything and no one wanted any so she scooped it up. 1 jar is Manuka honey 30p :T going to save it for medicinal uses.Clearing the junk to travel light
Saving every single penny.
I will get my caravan0 -

Hi all I am back from car booting, and I made £96. Well worth the exposure to the sun. DD made an additional £46 so we are 2 happy people.
Me and mum ordered the skip ready for the weekend, it will be delivered Thursday, and Wednesday 2 tonnage bags of gravel will be delivered. All it needs then is time from me and OH to get the garden finished. The old lady from over the road from my mum popped and said she is loving the garden transformation. She also said it was good of me and OH to help out. My brother hasn't been to help at all, but my mum says he is too busy.... hmmm well we work everyday except sundays.BSC member 137

I'm not on Facebook, but thank you for the thought0 -
Found a negative about living in the south - grass snakes... by my feet! I think it was a grass snake. It was grey/green and didn't look to have any markings. About a foot long. I jumped then squeeled. I wouldn't say I was petrified but was shocked to find it basking right next to a lady's garden path.
Yes Lyn, the NT membership paid for itself after month 2. We're in month 3 now and will continue to use it - ooodles still to explore. We've been doing the 50 things to do before 11 3/4 for some time now so chuffed to pick up a free booklet to document the girls' activities. Going to stick photos in for memories of each achievement. Free club to sign up to online too.
I have sat down and wished I hadn't. I haven't list to get going again!
Clouds are coming over and think rain is on its way. Best get my washing in... in a minute.
Well done on the positivity Gailey. Where there is a will, there's a way.
70 litres of water lyn and fpk. Oh dear. I sit on 6x 2 litres and thought that was ok for a family of 4. Best find a space for some more! I too rotate, using and replacing.0 -
Yes Fuddle - sounds like a grass snake - but they're completely harmless like a large worm really
They do like to come out & sun themselves but they make you jump though when you're not expecting them! Had any Maybugs yet?
Small victories - sometimes they are all you can hope for but sometimes they are all you need - be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle0 -
Never heard of a maybug. Will go look it up0

Just a reminder to the water stock. Remember the household furries. We have 9litres set aside and 8kilos of kibble stocked away for Mr. Collie. He knows it's there and every so often when we are in the basement he wanders over and sniffs his stash!
Weather great today. First washing out to dry of the year.
It's Queen Victoria's birthday and Canada still celebrates it with a day off. So everyone is free today!
Congrats on the no ciggies! 14 days! You are a non-smoker!0
