Good luck, and brace yourself if you have a mammogram. They may give you an ultrasound as well/instead. They may also aspirate (drain) it there & then - if they do, don't be concerned at the colour of the stuff that comes out!

Sorry not to reply I am getting ready for my brain op in a week or so - just about to catch up with all your news xx
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

hello karmacat and pippi (love both the names!).... please pop by as often as you like :)
    ...

Had sad news this morning that a very dear friend's mum passed away a few hours ago. She was very ill so at least is at peace now. I want to be able to help out in any way I can so hoping this blooming lurgy shifts asap. So near mother's day and their little boy's birthday is next week. Wish I could do more but being a supportive friend is something I can be at least.

Glad to have time for reflection today, thinking of all that is good in my life amidst some tears.

    take care

Thank you SQ :) sorry to hear your news as well.

The Old Style stuff I'm doing is mostly on my diary thread on the MFW forum (though I'm working towards a pension, not to paying off the mortgage) - but one huge OS thing I've been doing recently is collecting free mulch from a local building site. Sad as it is to see the trees chopped down, its worse to see the leftovers thrown in a tip. So I've been rescuing them. And I finally understood Pippi's kind instructions on how to make bannocks, so I'm actually using my storecupboard, at long last :)

  • Good luck Nutty. You are in my thoughts.
Use it up, Wear it out, Make it do, Do without.
  • Nutty, Hope everything goes Ok today. Please do let us know. X

I nipped to the dentist yesterday, To have the stitches removed. Now my mouth feels totally naked! I’ve just got used to one way, Now I am trying without them, Still having a lot of pain & discomfort. I still can’t eat certain foods & was told yesterday I still have the stubborn infection. But we agreed to leave it alone, Unless my face swells. Not sure how I will be able to tell the difference really lol.

Also made some other decisions recently.

I have booked my “stop smoking” appointment for next month. Should save us, Approx £600 a year. Biggest savings made ever for us!

And I’m also making a appointment to speak to my GP about assistance with weight loss. It seems I’m trying everything but my lack of energy & current weight loss suggests it “could” be something to do with my depression medication.

Anyways, I could natter all day, But I really need to get moving.

    Hugs are with everyone! xx

I have two tickets for Creative Stitches at Excel, 3rd - 5th April, and won't be going now as the friend I was going with can't come.

Would anyone on here like the tickets? PM me if so, first come first served, and I'll post them first class.

They are concessionary tickets but that won't matter, as they don't ask you why you've got a concessionary ticket :)

Molly, take care of yourself and try to have some quality time for yourself pre-op, go on spoil yourself :D

karmacat sounds like you are doing well with your pennypinching and free mulch- wow that will save lots of time and money - Im all for saving time weeding.

Woke up and put my glasses on ....well, tried anyway....Houston we have a problem....only one arm on glasses......aaaarggggghhhhh. Of course LL workman was at the door to sort the mould out in the bathroom and theres me like a bat in daylight. I cant even think straight when I cant see :rotfl: Have had to send OH off to the opticians for me while I feebly wander round the house finding things I cant do ! Luckily I had to have 2 pairs this time instead of varifocals (cost prohibative ) so I can at least sit here at the lappy or knit. Managed to get some bacon in the halogen, well I think its the halogen, could be anything.
