FUDDLE I try to be disciplined about coupons and only use them if I actually REALLY need either the product offered at discount or the amount of shopping that you are required to buy before the £3 off is applicable. I won't go out to spend £20 just to save £3 if I don't need enough to warrant spending £20 in the first place. I have to wait until I get a money off voucher at a time when I'm actually doing a big shop. Likewise Mr.T very often send a little booklet of money off vouchers some of which I will use, but most of which I won't because they are for expensive items I don't usually buy, I might have got one at christmas like Pepsi Max or Chocolate finger biscuits but I won't buy them as an everyday item, no matter what the amount off is! Hope that helps.

(((HUgs))) Princess, I too know people that needed help, and got it, and now have lovely children. Three of them conceived naturally after having their first child with extra help.
Fuddle the firefighters deserved it, although sadly I think the ones who came to my house had come off duty by then. DD has apparently had great fun telling everyone, even her headteacher, about this morning's adventures.
As if it wasn't enough in one day to get my door bashed in, I now discover that the children's bedding, which they put into the machine this morning, also contained a bottle of blue nail varnish. It went through the dryer too, but it appears to just be on the door seal as far as I can see. I'm ignoring it for now, I have 6 screaming girls arriving shortly.

((((((((((((((Princess)))))))))) we were told that our chances of conceiving naturally were very low - this was after DS9 who took a fair amount of time to conceive. Actually we had a lot going on with buying our first home and planning a wedding and it wasn't until a few weeks post wedding when we were very relaxed and happy and just enjoying the summer as newly weds that I feel pregnant.

Then later we were waiting for our first IVF appointment and just as we got the date, I found out I was pregnant with DS7. My strategy (same as for everything) was to read up on the subject and we made changes to our diet and lifestyle - the biggest was reducing my stress levels and tried virtually every trick in the book to increase our chances eg. using those ovulation testers.

I also know several people who needed assistance to have a family and although it was a tough journey, they all ended up with a child/ren in the end so there is plenty of hope.

Would joining a forum or thread for people in the same boat help? We are here for you too don't forget, you are not on your own.

Morning all, how are we all? Had a nice morning so far, doing nothing! Then I decided to load up the washing machine and give the hoover a quick run around.
Yesterday I finally decided to visit the doctor, have a small lump appear and it quite painful. Well I have been given an appointment to the hospital in 2 weeks time for a mammogram and an ultrasound. They think its more likely a cyst, but just need to be sure. OH has taken the day off to go with me, DD offered too, so I am really lucky.
I had my haircut this morning, only cost £6.50 so not bad really.
tomorrow I need to source a new carpet for DD room, no idea where to start looking just need a cheapy one.

    Take care all x

I had the same thing a few years ago and it turned out to be nothing, apparently it usually isn't if it hurts but good on you for getting it checked out.

Fuddle these are the couponing genus elite and rarely spend any money by using coupons and price match

I'm with MrsL I only use coupons if I really need the item ..... or it works out as free of course ;)

    morning everyone,

you have done the right thing nutty, probably nothing more than a cyst but no point in not getting checked out is there? I had to have a mammogram and a biopsy a few years ago and turned out to be nothing. I have had other scans and tests for different things over the years with the same result and the couple of times I have had something serious like a DVT, I got the right treatment asap and thank goodness I did. I will always go to get things checked out since the DVT which scared me somewhat. Great you have someone to go with you. I went for my breast tests on my own and then back for the results on my own and I was the only one without someone to go with and the receptionist was concerned for me. Lesson learned. In the meantime a gentle hug for you.

Can't seem to get going this morning and a big list of things to do. some could wait, others can't. Could have done with a lie-in but stripey cat woke me up early and I just lay in bed mulling over what was said in my counselling session until I nearly drove myself spare and got up.

  • Thanks all.

Well done Nutty for getting yourself check hun, Nothing worse than leaving it.
SQ, I had the same thoughts and feelings when I had counselling. But it also gives you a clearer outlook at the issues.

I too, Have no get up & go. So far, I’ve been up two hours and cleaned the kitchen. I really have no drive at the moment. It seems like before I have a huge build up of “stuff” happening in my life & no real understanding on how to handle it. My emotions are all over the place and my temper is sky high.
    Future goals:
    Become debt free.
    Beat Depression.
    Be happy & healthy

    Morning all,

I've had a rotten week at work that means another six months for what I thought needed two weeks. Its knocked the wind out of me, and I'm quite wobbly but I'm mostly keeping it in perspective. I'm the most stubborn person I know, so if its just a few more months of hard work that is needed I'm sure I can muster that.

Princess, it sounds like a lot of blows at once. I can't speak about the fertility, but can I make a suggestion for the family party? Before you go, you and your OH sit down and have a chat about what you think people will say. Come up with a response to those things that shuts down the conversation immediately. I don't know all of the situation, but I'm thinking something along the lines of

"We're upset too, but trying to move forward as best we can. We'd rather not dwell on it right now. Have you seen how much baby Ruby has grown? She is really getting so big!"

If you can change the subject it should make things go more smoothly, and if you have a plan for how to do that then it shouldn't be as stressful and you're less likely to get sucked in to conversations you would rather not have.

Nutty it really never stops for you does it? You have such strength. Big hugs. It probably is nothing, but should bring you peace of mind to know for sure. I've had a couple of friends and relatives with similar things and both caffeine and stress were identified. In the relative's case it comes back regularly if she isn't careful. Perhaps worth asking about? Good excuse to save some money at costa-lot and have the herbal tea!

I'm pleased to report that kitty is doing very well. She is very sweet when sleeping (often falls asleep on me!) and a bit of menace when playing. She has taken a few tumbles but seems to get right back up. She was taking the stairs fine so we were letting her out a bit and then she got distracted playing with her shadow and fell down a few. We've kept her off the stairs since, but she might get another go over the weekend where we can keep a closer eye on her. We think she is a she, but MIL is coming for breakfast tomorrow and can probably confirm. She bred for a year or two so is better experienced. We've been calling her Maggie in the short term and if she is indeed a 'she' that will stick. It is after one of my favourite authors, although I've caught OH singing 'Wake up Maggie' to her in the morning. He isn't a fan of Rod Stewart, and I don't think our Maggie has much in common with older Maggie but I somehow thing she might get called after older Maggie sometime!:rotfl:

Sorry for the long post, its the first time I've had a breath in a few weeks. I missed posting. Hugs to all who need them.x

Fuddle, if you'v got a FarmFoods near you don't forget to sign up to the wedsite, they send coupons every month

I second the FF suggestion. I pop in there regularly to just get milk as it is near other places I go to anyway and we get through an awful lot of milk. Then I get a bigger shop when needed using the vouchers which work out at 10% off the bill for spends of £25+. 2 x 4 pts milk £1.60, 1kg tub of buttery spread £1, lots of cheap frozen veg, 7.5kg sacks of spuds £2 and ours have started to do more fresh fruit and veg, nothing fancy but things like cu and punnet of cherry toms about 50p, bag of oranges, pears etc £1, bag of bananas 69p and then you can take off 10% with the voucher. Cheap brand names for stuff like biscuits, crisps, jars and tins too. Worth checking out.

ps I don't get commission! Years ago when DS9 was tiny, I would have turned my nose up at discount stores like this.... how silly was I then (and how wise now ;)
