And best wishes to all the children going back to school today. I always, always, had tummy ache and felt sick on the first day back, but usually felt better by lunchtime. Unless we had P.E. in the afternoon!

Well ladies I have done it, this morning I interviewed and hired a cleaner!!! She is coming Wednesday to blitz downstairs then weekly for 1.5hrs to keep it sorted. Am so pleased it will finally be getting done properly - she said I will empty the fridge and clean it every week as well. DO people really clean the fridge every week??? Ours gets done when OH spills something usually or one of the kids! I am a poor housekeeper.


DS9 is still off school but his chest sounds way better today so I am hopeful he will go back on Wednesday yippee - of course that is too late for my doctor appointment which will have to be moved yet again.

I've got a lady from the Cat Protection people coming in half an hour. The sun is shining, the house is clean and fragrant with the diffusers, I am wearing my 2nd poshest top, the RV has been threatened with torture if he opens his face in the wrong way...all was ready and perfect.
Until..
I heard a big tractor go down our wee cul-de-sac... looked out...
and saw it was the council emptying the bloody septic tank.
They do it twice a year and it had to be today!!!

Mar - thats a good thing surely - shows you have facilities that are properly maintained!! Cat protection can be funny if you have overflowing toilets etc!:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Ivyleaf, funnily enough DS said he had a tummy ache this morning. He was ushered off to school regardless, he wasn't very convincing.

Don't want to waste my happy mood so have arranged to see one my favourite friends for an hour before school pickup. The dust can wait.... goodness the sunshine shows it up!! Also found out another friend is moving house today and so am having her little girl on Wednesday to help out. House is a tip anyway so she may as well come over and play.
