  • Monno, did you manage to help the young girl you were going to see?

Also hope you finished the Parish magazine.

  • Hi FUDDLE glad he central heating is in and working, welcome o the world of warmth. You know what will happen now? we'll get a really warm spring and you won't need to use it!!!!! Well done in surviving the parental visit, hope you've parted friends pet, and relax, yes?

Tins and jars are really useful as store cupboard items, I try to keep in things like baked beans with sausages, mince in gravy, ready to use custard and I've seen in my 99p shop some tinned steamed puddings which seem good value. Even Mr.Ts everyday beans and sausages are nice and affordable and they've got in tins of apple slices for 69p which I try never to be without for crumbles.

Hope you've managed a bit of time off and not been working all the time pet, Lyn xxx.

Wow Fuddle: Everything seems to be coming together at Chez Vous. I'll think of you luxuriating in central heating, able to keep a check on the ELEC/GAS front, sitting round your dining table and having survived your Mother's visit. Well done you.

Princess: If you have a liquidiser you've no need to worry. When someone in my household had an operation on his tongue I just liquidised whatever we were having. - even a roast dinner, complete with mint sauce. He said it was strange but very nice. As someone else said, the anticipation is much worse than the event, so try not to get too worked up over it.

That's about it for now. The week from hell coming up!

Thanks for asking Candlelight. I've not been to the 'flat' yet, Had to cancel Saturday's visit but am due to go tomorrow morning. I'll report on what I find.

Church magazine? I've not even started. I have to casserole 15lbs of beef, make 70 dumplings, peel, cook and mash 18 lb of potatoes and make chocolate concrete for 70 before I even think about the magazine. Oh and make cakes for a fundraising coffee morning on Thursday. I'll probably start the magazine on Thursday evening. I love a challenge!

  • Monno, I think we should gather a working party to help. I have only been to the IOW once, so fancy another trip. Will you find time to sleep in between everything else:).

    Take it steady.

monnogran I have no idea how you manage it all. I think my life is busy but yours is far more manic. I did my good dead of the day, we have a young homeless lad in our town and he was asleep in the doorway opposite where I work. When he woke up I took him a hot drink and sausage roll, no cash tho. He is awaiting help from the council, I hope they are hurrying up. He lost his job, then he lost his home.

  • Hi guys
Sorry for not posting much and for this post too, hubby had to be blue lighted into hospital yesterday morning at 4 am. Due to emence levels of pain. He is still in there today as they try and get the pain under control. Tomorrow i will be chasing maccmillam to arrange to get him home where he wants to be, and reassuring every one that I am as prepared as I can be for him to spend his remaining time here where he is comfortable.
The ward is brilliant, I can stay and come in pretty much anytime I want, but must be realistic.
Hubby only wants close family and his b friend to know he is in at the moment.
Anyway don't know why I felt the need to tell you guys but I did,
So please send all positive vibe this way, I just want to get him home , to respect his wishes.. hugs to everyone,, xx CC
