Oh dear Bitsy - hope it goes smoothly for your move. Fingers crossed

As for me, had a lovely day out with mum at the stately home local to me with lovely peaceful tranquil gardens to walk around. Nice lunch out and also paid for everything out of the birthday budget which was the best result! Budget planning going very well here at the moment, hence no pennies left for now but it will be worth it in the long run.

Today I will fab the house up as it's grey and drizzly here today, wait in for an ebay collection, parcel up the rest of ebay sales, fab myself up with a facemask later and that's about it. Still very tired after all that dissertation work, who would have thought it would be quite as tiring as it was in the end!

Oh dear Bitsy - you are having a rough ride. Chin up - it will soon be over.

Grey and drizzly here so going to have a little potter around whilst DS1 does some DIY. I will keep the drinks and snacks going whilst having a bit of sort out.

Sparkles - your day out sounds lovely. I love a mooch round a stately home.

No real news. Like everyone else I'm feeling very tired - all that dashing around has caught up with me. Nice and easy does it today.......

    Morning all!
Bitsy - good luck with everything, I'll cross my fingers for you. xx
Sparkles - apologies if I missed your birthday.

Spent last night giving myself a bit of an MOT - toenails trimmed and repainted, full body moisturisation, eyebrows got a good sorting, face scrub and slathered in night cream etc
Tried on all my purchases from yesterday again too and they all look nice and fit well so will all be kept.

Not sure what today will bring yet - Fling will be over later but not sure what time (why are men so vague?). Have already taken the dog to the park so that job is done for now at least.
Just one week left of the holidays now - where has all the time gone?:(

Bitsy sorry to hear you are having problems -it's very stressfull moving isn't it. Hope you manage to get through it all I'm sure it will all be worth it in the end.

LL So glad things are going well with the house and the bungalow sounds just the job. Really pleased for you.

WW Can't believe there's only just over a week of school hols left myself, it's gone really quickly this year. Good to hear you've had a good summer though. ;)

Been quite busy this hols -have made good use of the rail passes and visited York, Liverpool and Scarborough. Am planning one more trip for next week.
The Wedding is in on Tuesday and I have a new slimmer figure. Have had loads of compliments on how good I'm looking though H doesn't know 'why I want to lose weight'. His constant winging about not really wanting to go on Tues is sending me up the wall but I'm determined he isn't going to spoil it for me and I'm going to have a good time. Have a home pampering session planned whilst everyone is at football this afternoon, hair dye, eyebrow tidy, nail shape and a practise of the make -up and hair. I intend to take my time getting ready and not be drawn into the usual 'you're not getting ready yet -it's far too early' routine that H usually uses so that I inevitably end up rushed and not feeling or looking my best. (which I'm sure is the intention). I'm sure he will be watching my every move and noting examples of my behaviour that he can try to embarass me with after the event. Hopefully I'll do something really embarassing and he'll F**k off.:rotfl::rotfl:

Anyway time to walk the dog- have a good weekend all -will fill you all in on the wedding next week. :D

The dreaded detox diet is all done and a total of 7.5 lbs lost, feel much better too, no bloat and skin looks a bit better.
Celebrated with a glass or two of wine last night:p

Its the dog's 9th birthday today so Fling and I are taking him for a good long country walk this afternoon - will be good to get some fresh air and exercise. He's then cooking us a meal and baking (!!!) bread to go with it - could this man be any more lovely???:rotfl: How did I manage to nab him?;)

Hope we all have a good bank holiday.
    xx

WW - Lucky you, I wish for one myself......

As for me dragged myself out for the first run in 6 weeks after the knee injury and chest infection - feel better now its done and always the first one is a struggle after a long break like that. Will aim for 2 more this week.

I've done some batch cooking today making a lovely vegetable curry - 7 portions all in the freezer now to keep me going over the next few weeks. Will be making a vegetable chilli tomorrow for tea and to freezer also. Nice and cheap too which is good for me right now.

Think I might get my bike out this afternoon for a wash and sort out and then go out for a little bike ride tomorrow. Today will be along dog walk later on and generally a chill out listening to the cricket

Morning guys how are we spending the bank holiday Monday? Weather looks a bit hit and miss here! My only 'must dos' are a big vacuum and a couple of loads of laundary. I've got a bit of work prep to do before going back next week but I think bank hol Mon is (and should be) a work free day!

    Happy bank holiday everyone.
Packing continues but we are making headway. House hasn't been hoovered for 4 days and with a moulting dog that's a very long time so planning on tidying up, packing and giving everywhere a good vac!
I have also decided I need to drastically cut back in my sugar consumption. I can't say I could give it up completely but given my diet this last two weeks have been pretty poor it's definitely reflected in my skin :o I don't think I have the will power or energy to devote to fasting at the moment but I can definitely eat less sugar (I've eaten more crap whilst packing as I am not enjoying the process). Once we have moved then its back to the good old days of cooking from scratch and being healthier. I was actually craving salad last night

Lizzie I am loving your attitude. I know OH drives you up the wall but I am definitely seeing a change in your attitude. You're not the victim any more and sticking up for yourself. Keep it going. I bet you will look fabulous at the wedding, I hope it all goes well tomorrow xxx

Teacher2b enjoy your BH I agree no work ;)

Sparkles hope the other runs get easier x

Hugs and high fives all round :)

  • Hi all:)
I'm a friend of Bitsy and am going to start joining in the thread once my son is back at school.
    I'd better introduce myself.
I'm 43, married with a son 10 who has autism, Tourette's, ADHD, dyspraxia,PDA and sensory processing disorder.... Yep busy in this house;).
We also have a 22 week old daughter.
    I have Asperger's syndrome.
I'm a stay at home mum since giving up oncology nursing career 3 years ago to care for our son full time.
Currently trying to get my body back after pregnancy and birth
Had a very traumatic birth experience ... Emergency section and I basically died and needed resuscitating. Huge section scar and prolonged recovery in icu.
My scar still sore all these weeks later, I have mummy tummy and was a 10 to 12 but now 12 to 14.
Now at 5ft 10 that's not big but I feel big and it's getting me down.
Going to start yoga and Pilates once ds at school again and looking into diets ..... Fancying Paleo but not sure how it will fit with busy family life?
Anyway that's me for now. Look forward to getting to know each other and mutual support x
