Me too, but I didn't feel sick I was glad to see the back of it!;) Many congratulations sparkles, enjoy your free time.
Sorry I haven't posted for while but I do keep reading and thinking of you all. It's great how fabbing habits have really stuck.
School holidays are always a bit 'out of routine' for me. I'm sure I'll get back to posting regularly come September.
Love to all.:A0 -
It's been handed in today so that mahoosive piece of work is over with although it leaves one more piece of work today then it is really over for good!
Feels weird having all this free time again.
My fab habit are well stuck too - yesterday face mask, hair treatment and mask, nails tidy and paint, feet dehardened AGAIN!
Today 2 long dog walks before I go back to work tomorrow and back to normal once againfinal unsecured debt to repay currently £8333Proud to be Dealing With my DebtDFW Nerd 1154 Long Haul 1550 -
Well, the detox floundered thanks to my very helpful and upset friend. Wine was the only medicine she'd consider to I had to join in
B*gger!
Never mind - starting again today - 5 more days of torture then.....
Just taken the dog to the park for an hour and having a bit of a sit down before starting some household jobs and a bit of school work if I can force myself to do it. Need to get a grip and get on with it soon:(
Hope everyone is well.0 -

Wine is fruit.....doesn't that count in a detox?
No fabbing. Just lots and lots of packing.
Was hoping to exchange contracts by end of the week. However top of chain seller has gone on holiday having not signed and returned her contract  she's in Spain. !!!!!! who goes abroad the week before we are trying to complete.
Anyway I shall self medicate my stress with a bottle of beer. Well deserved after a day of tedious packing.

Morning all!
Just back from dropping two friends off at the airport - agreed to it in a wine induced state of benevolence....hmmm, meant getting up at 6am. Never mind, they were grateful and its my good deed for the day done.
Need to walk the dog next then get a grip and get on with some work. Haven't even looked at any yet and school is creeping up on me again. Its GCSE results day tomorrow so will be working doing results reports and statistics and of course helping the kids with their results ... oh the drama!
Seeing the Fling for a while later too so better get cracking soon.
Day 2 of the detox (again!), not feeling too bad at the moment, it won't last!
Hope everyone has a good day. xx0 -
just got back in from Cardio Tennis, been running around and hitting balls everywhere, I've definitely not retained my (at best negligible!) tennis skill from school :rotfl: at least ive got some exercise in though!0

We have exchanged contracts. Move set for a week tomorrow :j:j
Thank goodness as I am losing the will to live with packing and boxes everywhere

Good luck with the move Bitsy - don't envy you at all but it will be all worth it in the end.
Its day 4 (or day 6 if you count the original starting day prior to temporarily falling off the wagon:o) of the detox and I have lost 7lbs:j:j I know a lot of it is water weight but thats exactly what I wanted to lose - the bloat. I have given in and had diet coke but have otherwise stuck to it. One more day and its done. I feel much flatter and less podgy and think that the majority of the holiday badness has been undone.
If anyone is interested its called Phase One of the Harcombe Diet (there is a website to google).
I've been shopping for new work clothes today and bought a dress, a trouser suit, a blouse/top and a smart black/white jacket to go with black trousers. All in size 10 or 8.
Also got some more undies - every day M&S 5 pack cotton knickers and some more, ahem, provocative sets.;)
Off to meet friends with dogs soon for a walk and gossip and then having a quiet night in trying to avoid the wine!
It was results day yesterday at school and we did very well considering the headlines that were all over the news. Spent all day processing results and writing reports so ignoring schoolwork for today.
Right better get on with a bit of hoovering before going out.
PS Fling and I are off to the Lakes next week for a couple of days before real life takes over and we both go back to school, can't wait!0 -
Bitsy - Good to hear that exchange has taken place, always a relief.... Hope all goes well with the move. Chin up it will be worth it in the end.
Have viewed the bungalow today - compactbut it will be fine. It's clean and tidy and the decorating is quite fresh so I will be able to add a view little flourishes and make it homely and cosy without breaking the bank. Just need to sort out some sort of decking or ramp to the patio doors and then OH can visit me whenever.
I wheeled him round to it and showed it to him from the outside. He is chuffed to bits that I am going to be moving near to him - hopefully it will make my life simpler too - less driving and less guilt because I will be able to spend more time with him and still have time for my other activities.
I'm hoping to move in by the end of September, giving me the chance to make it cosy before the winter gets a grip.
All going well on DS1's house front. I was beginning to fear that we had bought a "Money Pit" but the engineer's report wasn't as dire as I had expected and so far the estimates for the renovation work aren't too eye watering. I am going to apply for a historic buildings grant - although I am inclined to be a bit sceptical. They usually come with a lot of strings attached and, as they only pay 25% of the costs it might be better to just go it alone. That way we can go at our own pace and achieve the finish we want.
WW - your shopping trip sounds good. I finally bought some clothes myself yesterday - Sainsbob's have one of their 25% off offers at the moment. Bought a red cardy and a couple of tops, I also want to get a couple pairs of trousers and jeans etc. I need new undies too. Definitely need another couple of shopping trips and I really must sort my hair out.
Other than that not much news. I'm now back with my boys again, having spent a few days with Dad. I'll probably stay here now until the bungalow is free and help DS1 tackle a few DIY projects and start work on the garden.
Hey ho, busy, busy, busy.
The plus side - I've lost a bit of weight - must be all that dashing around.0 -
WW ooh get you and your provocative undies
hope they have the desired effect :T
LL glad things are going right way, compact and bijou, hopefully that way it might be cheaper to heat over winter x
Honestly we have exchanged one day and the f*ckwittery starts
Booked removers who two days prior had assured me they were free. Assured me they were free when I rang to confirm contracts had been exchanged.
They ring me this morning to say they are fully booked :mad: lying barstewards  basically everyone is scrabbling around for removers for next week being last weekend before school and we've been ditched for a more profitable and easy job
Cue mad panic and ringing other removed who had given us quote. I've had to pay £1300 up front, in full, it's non refundable nor transferable so if you pray please say one for me next Friday and hope to goodness money all goes through in time
Loft has been emptied. House is unbelievable. It's littered with stuff everywhere. Packing commences in earnest again tomorrow.
Hugs and high fives all round xI have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knifeLouise Brooks
