Morning!
I had a big day in town yesterday, gave myself £30 to spend on whatever I wanted no matter how frivolous or if it would be a "waste" got tea and scones, claimed a free coffee with my costa points and spent £2.20 on the train home as I couldn't see a thing to buy! :rotfl:
Ended up going to morrisons and raiding the deli counter because I relied I'd actually really enjoy treating myself to some lovely food that I don't normally eat all the time.
Will go the gym for a bit later, thinking of taking a magazine and sitting in the cafe bit!0 -
I'm feeling better at last - still having to take it easy though after the Dr signed me off for another week. On the up side gave me some more time to crack on with the dissertation and its almost finished at last!
One more paragraph to write then its just the final checks and references and all is done - might even get this done tomorrow if I'm lucky!
Fabness today was an exfoliate and facemask, hair prewash treatment and hair mask, yesterday was sorting hard feet out - oh the glamour!final unsecured debt to repay currently £8333Proud to be Dealing With my DebtDFW Nerd 1154 Long Haul 1550 -
Good to hear that you're feeling better Sparkles and that your dissertation is almost done - will be a big relief no doubt!
Been to the docs this morning for a repeat prescription - weight, blood pressure etc all OK so thats good. Could do with losing half a stone and am going to do a 5 day detox thing with the Fling starting on the weekend - not looking forward to it but he wants to do it so I'll join in for moral support - no alcohol, caffeine, sugar, dairy....:eek::eek: No fun! Grumpy headaches here I come - brace yourselves!
Going to do a bit of exercise this afternoon (Fling gone now to see his son after his exam results today) and maybe mow the back garden - a mammoth task after the recent rain.
Out for lunch tomorrow with a couple of friends and probably popping round to see another friend later this afternoon. Busy doing nothing!0 -
Sparkles hope you manage to finish dissertation
WW good luck on your detox this weekend  rather you than me :rotfl:
Nothing to report. Still packing. Still waiting to exchange e contracts. Still waiting for a completion date. Still waiting some bloody feedback from EA/solicitors up the chain
Slept well last night and today is the first day in two weeks I've not woken with back pain :j at the moment feeling bright eyed and bushy tailedalthough I am sure it won't last
No other fabbing I am afraid. Too much going on to anything other than the real basics.
Pod I've not seen you on here for a while, hope you're OK x

I'm pleased to announce that I've submitted the dissertation - with quite a large amount of trepidation and nerves at the time I must admit!
Feeling much better now and it ain't over yet! All that's left to do is hand in 2 paper copies on Monday and then one more piece of work for a month's time and all is over and finished with.
As I now how oodles of time now it feels really weird having all this spare time after all that hard work over the last few years.
Have tidied all the paperwork away, cleaned the house so tomorrow is the start of the big garden tidy up and boy does it need it!
I'll be having a facemask, hair pre wash treatment, hair pack and doing my nails as my fabness tomorrow and then see what else the day bringsfinal unsecured debt to repay currently £8333Proud to be Dealing With my DebtDFW Nerd 1154 Long Haul 1550 -

well done!! i remember that feeling, i felt sick handing mine over!
had to sort out my parent's computer problems today, their mac is 7 years old and is showing all the signs of impending doom. they haven't ever backed their computer up so once id finished lecturing them on the need to back up their online life or face complete meltdown when a computer dies, it was off to john lewis!
had a bit of a quick tidy round too, im getting sick of seeing rubbish and "stuff" in my room. i think its partly having gone through the whole packing my life into a car and making the decisions on what i can and cant live without thats now making me start to question why ive gathered so much junk over the years that does nothing for me.0 -
Well done on finishing it Sparkles :TI have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knife

Well done Sparkles! High fives!!
It seems like everyone is busy with moving and life in general.
Good luck to all in stressful situations.
Its Day 1 of the dreaded 5 day detox today :eek::eek: Been to the supermarket and now own more veg than Tescos - no fruit allowed due to the sugar content, not happy about that but its only 5 days I suppose. The worst will be the lack of diet coke (no caffeine or artificial sweeteners) as I'm a bit of an addict. No pain no gain though. This better work!
I've had far too much bad food and alcohol this past month so I'm hoping that this little bit of torture will reset me. We'll see....
Have been for an hour long walk with the dog and have lots of mundane household jobs to do to keep me busy to ward off the withdrawal :rotfl:
So this afternoon its lawn mowing, car cleaning, laundry, ironing (if desperate for something to do), and schoolwork if really really bored.
Having a day off blowdrying hair and make up too, giving my face a rest and going all au naturale...a scary look for me at the best of times, I'm obviously not planning any visitors or going anywhere other than another dog walk.
Right better get on with it before the biscuit tin starts calling...wish me luck.0 -
My so called bedroom is being gutted and not fit to sleep in. I have moved out as a temporary measure and am staying with my father.
At least it is killing two birds with one stone because not only does it give me an escape from what is rapidly turning into a building site but it also gives me the opportunity to help Dad a bit. I am feeding him up and gradually filling up his freezer with home cooked "ready meals" for when I'm not there. He's a crabby old thing and doesn't like his space being invaded but secretly I think he is benefitting from the company.
Only problem is I've turned into a bag lady - carrying a few clothes and toiletries from pillar to post. Hopefully it won't be for too long, hopefully my little bungalow will be available soon and then I can settle for a while.
Sparkles - well done on finishing your the dissertation:T:T:T I'm sure it's fab.
WW - good luck with the detox. Whilst not going that far I am trying hard with the healthy eating. Bit of a struggle when I have no fixed abode but doing my best.
Bitsy - hope all goes well with exchange and completion. It's a stressful time isn't it.
Well ladies I hate to say this but I have noticed that the geese have already started their winter migration:eek::eek: - flying south to warmer climes. This is way too early. I do hope it isn't a sign of a severe winter........
Let's make the most of what summer is left.
Right off to get a few more clothes and bits and bobs to take to Dads, water the trees in pots (the boys always forget and then off to see OH).
Not sure when I will be here to check in again so toodle pip for now.0 -
Good luck with the to-ing and fro-ing LL. Not an easy time.
Its day 2 of the detox and I've got a stonking headache and feel a bit iffy but the good news is that my bloat has gone already. Can't stop weeing either.:o This will be a very long 5 days......
My friend is popping over in a while - she usually comes armed with wine but I've told her about the detox - her response was "bore off, come and get sh*tfaced"!! Nice and supportive :rotfl: She's been let down by yet another man so is feeling a bit down.
I'll try to get her out for a walk with the dog and attempt to avoid pubs....not too confident about that!0
