I just check SRA.ORG.UK. Click on "For the Public"; then click on "Solicitors Register" then type his name: Milton Firman.
At the bottom of the page is a BIG PROHIBITED sign. 
Milton Firman has been PROHIBITED from practising as solicitor since 2006!!!!   How he is able to operate as The LEGAL COMPANY and his company shows on the top of the list when doing a google search is a SCAM.

This so called legal advisor, robbed me of nearly £400, i came to my senses and refused to pay the rest of the money he wanted. Anyone looking for legal advice, DO NOT use the legal company or Milton Firman hes a fraud.

There are many gripes about this guy Milton, but what exactly is he supposed to be doing wrong? He is not advertising himself as a solicitor, he describes himself as a legal adviser, so he is not misrepresenting himself. He may well have been struck off the solicitors register, but no one knows the full and accurate details of that. Lots of professionals are struck off for all kinds of reasons. He seems to have accepted that and isn't still claiming to be a solicitor or on the register.  His fees for legal advice and help are ridiculously cheap for legal work. Instead of paying £1000s, he charges peanuts and that is why all these people on this forum have used him- for his cheapness. Surely, if he was such a fraudster he would scam more off people- he could easily charge a lot more than the few hundred people have quoted here  and everyone would still pay him as he's so much cheaper than other legal professionals and barristers who cost the price of a house. I am not trying to defend this man and I don't know him, but you get what you pay for in this world. If you don't trust this guy go elsewhere and pay 100times his fees . I'm just unsure what exactly everyone is so angry about Milton for? Please enlighten me as i'm fed up getting ripped off by 'real' barristers and am tempted to instruct Milton for a fraction of the price. But will he do a good job? Will he do the job at all?

Bellsrings, in answer to your question, no, he will not do the job.  He was advertising himself as a Solicitor, the Solicitors Regulatory Authority (SRA) were notified and made him change his title after he scammed many people, he had been struck off many years ago, but was still advertising in many places, as a 'solicitor..  The SRA, made him remove all reference to the word solicitor and to change his title to that of 'Legal Advisor'. .  He has ripped off many people over the years, and is still doing so today!!  If you research him on google you will find out the full extent of his scams, turning up in court as a 'McKenzie Friend'.  You say he charges peanuts, not my experience or that or others, no paperwork, no advice, no turn up in court!  You think he is cheap, go ahead give him your money, you will not hear from him again.  Also uses various aliases.

Aha!  I saw The Legal Company's advert - no win, no fee - when I was looking up how to obtain a judicial review.  Over 3 emails, I sent a full set of files of evidence in my case, plus my NHS records - and their attendent password.  He was charming, sounded credible, and competent.  But in his last email he said he would 'take it on' for a fixed fee of £1850.  I emailed back to ask what the 'it' was that he would take on (which aspect of the case) and what the fee would cover.  I also said he was just a person popping into my Inbox following my completion of the company's obline form on their website  (which popped up tops when I was looking up judicial review).  I needed to know who he was and more about the company.  And questioned if he was a conman  I have heard nothing since.  I just googled 'Is The Legal Company' a legitimate organization?' -  and found MoneySavingExpert's out there to help me.  I am glad you are there MSE.  I am disappointed to find he is not.  Now I am worried about identity theft.  This guy has full access to my health records, and password.  Sadly, I am a former police officer....

Bellsrings. No, Firman does not do the job he is paid to do. He PROMISES to provide a service but fails to do so. Yes I have been caught to the tune of £900 more fool me! Despite phone calls e-mails no response to me at all. Just took the money and ran. It is known as 'Authorised Push Payment'. I have reported to my bank and also my solicitors. As a pensioner I can ill afford to lose this money and apart from 'trying' to find his actual whereabouts for a private visit I have to take the actions that I am.

No Win No Fees Fraud/unprofessional

No Win No Fees Fraud. This is extremely unprofessional company running by Mr Milton. He charged me £1500 as initial fixed fees then £500 afterward he never ever attend my call or never advised me not even single time. I have lost the case in which I was innocent and I have evidence of my innocence but I lost due to Milton who is running this fraud company. He actually said that judge are stubborn and never goes against their judge colleague decision in appeal. While dear judge said me that you should bring those evidence in front of first judge While Milton know all about this but he did not deal the case properly even not a single time. Just like he wanted me to loose then I will contact him and he will charge further and he did ask me to pay and I paid again due to his unprofessionalism. Please someone need to stop him by trapping and doing fraud the people. If any government agency or law society or any agency needs info against his behaviour then I will provide all info and proof
