Not at all, you would not believe how many times I've nearly had a heart attack with these little whippets!
No matter how well trained little ones are ( and yes I do signal them to go on in inside of the pavement) apart from the dangers of speeding drivers I also worry about the big lorries which can give off a sort of g-force which could suck a small child into the road.

  • She is negligent imo. You should be holding your childs hand untill nearer 5 at the least and longer on main roads.

I've seen some really crap parents letting tiny children run along streets, into gutters on actual roads, often while the mother is on her phone (thats my pet hate). some people are lacking that certain something and they take too many chances, like those who leave their kids alone in the bath at 2! There are plenty of them around.

Just for your info, my yellow book advices you hold your childs hand till at least 8 years old for crossing roads, and untill the age of 3 use reigns.

I don't hold my DS's hand to cross the road any more, but it still makes me twitchy if he's not on the inside of the pavement when we're walking together. He's almost 17 and six inches taller than me. :rotfl:
