Highview Parking .... Yate

i have recieved a "charge notice " from Highview .. the first notice we never recieved so now we have one that amounts to £80 ....
you know even !!!!!! turpin wore a mask !!
how a charge can be made with just pictures of a car entering a leaving a car park is beyond me .. no eveidence of a stay or parking ? we were just dropping off and then picking up some hours later ... what happened to the other pictures of our car leaving and re entering ?
the signage is silly and so high that it is not readable from your car fully. the sign entering the carpark is right by the entrance to a drive through mc donalds and a busy main road .. so to acctually stop and read the sign would not only block the exit to mc donalds but also cause traffic queues out on to the road ....
im thinking of stopping to do this and film the chaos that happens when i do !! ...
no wonder they are called highview .. as the camera is placed up high as well as the signage !!
well i have written back and will see what happens ...
any of you who have similar stories and those who use the same car park .. let me know how you get on !!

Can you clarify - is your post basically a rant or do you want some advice and help with your appeal?

When you wrote to Highview what did you say ?

Did say you were appealing ? Did you admit to being the driver ?

no didnt say was the driver ,,, just registered keeper ,, denied liability to the company. said that the driver was dropping off passengers for the leisure facility and returned 04.36 hr later to collect ... asked where the missing footage was that showed the car leaving and returning .. asked why photographic evedence of a car driving was evidence of time spent parked.
i checked signage wich was very high and brought that the there attention and also the signage on entering the car park which is small and would need the car to stop to be able to read the content before entering the car park,, i said i believed it to be a breech of the BPA code of practice as regards to clear signage
i questioned there gathering of data from the DVLA and their grace period ..
i have asked them to take this no further and asked for a POPLA code if they should wish to continue.
i let then know i would be making complaints of their harrassment to the leisure centre and shopping centre manager. and would report it further to the BPA and DVLA.
most of this info i got from this forum ...

Then you need do nothing else until you hear from them. If they accept your appeal then you're done. If they reject it come back here for help with your POPLA appeal.

As you can see, there is Free Parking at Yate with no conditions.

Highview Parking are notorious for sending tickets to double dippers at Yate. Appeal to them, saying you visited the car park twice. If you like, point out that the Parking Prankster did exactly the same thing a while back.

They will appreciate being reminded of that.

If they turn down your appeal, appeal to POPLA, and as Highview Parking will not be able to substantiate their claim, your appeal will no doubt be upheld just as mine was.

    Sorry about the split links!

Don't take this the wrong way - it is meant to be helpful.

Please do not try an appeal to POPLA without our help with its construction. It needs to be comprehensive and structured and that is where previous examples of successful appeals will be of a great help to you.
