One wonders what it's doing to all those other hairdressers who thought they might be fairly immune to the onslaught of supermarkets.

First it's food, then financial products, then toys, then electrical items, then books, now you can even get your hair cut. Eventually we'll have no specialist or independent shops at all. We'll go to Tesco for everything :(

Have you ever seen the Armando Iannucci sketch "The Tesco Wars"? I'd link it but I'm on a tablet, if you youtube it it's on there x

    Cant beat supercuts.

Not only do you get it cut for about £6 you also get it done by young ladies with large boobs who always wear low cut tops and lean down in front of you. This is why I always tip.

I'm wondering what the difference would be between the 'value' and the 'finest' haircuts ...

With the latter you get a Sassoon-trained hairdresser; with the former you just lie on the floor as the lawnmower approaches... ;)

Their tagline is 'every little helps' so I'm guessing value = bald, finest = long hair as every strand of hair helps?

The good news is they will have no shortage of horse hair with which to extend your luscious locks.
  • They do an on-line training course for their stylists too........:D

This is just another 'Americanization' of supermarkets.
In some Walmarts in the US you can go to Mcdonalds, then have Starbucks, pay your money into Western Union, have your nails done, your shoes repaired and get your hair done.
Seriously I think you could live there!

  • Well you learn something every day!! Tesco must be keeping these hair salons quiet, I never even knew they had them.

What next, offering to do Brazilians or Vajazzles?!!!!!! :D

I suppose it gives a whole new meaning to "every little helps"!
