Fab, indeedy. I'm glad it was all dragons and drunkenness. The finances sound really complicated: is there some kind of Deed of Variation you can use, like with a will, to cover the point hypno raised?

I have no idea what that is, but as I said, I trust her, completely, and this is about speed... faster the better...

I know there is a little risk there, but assessing it, the better option is a little risk + speed...

    fab thread panicking hard.

one thing that i noticed was in your SOA you mentioned rent or a mortgage of about £800. Is that right? Could you not reduce this by sharing or finding somewhere less expensive(maybe you posted this somewhere along the thread, i confess to skimming, i planned on being in bed an hour ago)

I'm in a 6 month contract (1 month in)... plus it saves me a fortune not having to park in the city centre every day...

But either way, I could only alter it in 5 months anyway...

PH, just wanted to say I'm still reading and enjoying every minute!
Thread is very funny and I'm glad you're not letting things get you too down. But before you next go out to town with your red paint, send off the letters for your bank charges. I sent just two letters to MBNA and got a cheque back with no problems... alright I only had £100 worth of charges but it really is easy and worth the time. Go on... give it a go.

Oh... right... MBNA... meaning you claimed back off your credit cards too??

I have one question about that... By claiming back charges from CC companies, do you lose their 'goodwill' too? I can't afford for them to get hissy about ANYTHING at the moment... I need them to be fully on my side as I pay this off... unless I can get a balance transfer for it all... otherwise, I'm in trouble... Because I can't have them putting me on a payment plan, or anything like that, as if it goes on my credit record that I've got financial problems, I could lose my job... VERY easily...
