Get a decent card such as the Clarity, use your Santander debit or Zero if you have one or get a decent Global usage card such as the Kalixa Pay and take out decent chunks and use it for purchases too. Today you would get 1.1646€ for purchases.
Used my Clarity card at the ATMs in Spain this last two weeks and was getting between 1.16 and 1.17 €0 -
Do not use Thomson for currency exchange! I asked their rate, they asked what I had seen, wrongly presumed they'd meet it....turned out they had charged me the cheap changeback rate when I come back for 3.95 which I did not ask nor was I asked if I wanted it and also their rate was .06 less per £1 than marks and Spencer's which I quoted them. I'm not happy but its done now.
Rates can change a little day by day but I don't think it'll change that much. Your own bank may have an ok rate or post office. Sometimes you get better rates for changing more. Have a good holiday.just follow it for a week or so.0
