Dodgy parking signs

Hi, I recently got a ticket for unloading at an event. I was told I was allowed to unload and not to worry as the councils sign was in fact illegal. The sign was black with white writing and a red border, and threatened for your car to be clamped. This was a council notice and I was wondering, do parking notices hae to follow some kind of standard, ie yellow with a black border?

thanks

Do you have images of the signs etc ? We can't advise on your opinion of dodgy signs without them

You need around 50 posts before you can do pics.

If you upload them to an image host and post the address without the http bit, then we can work our way back from there. :)

    Dosn't work.

Go to the image in your Photo Bucket album and right 'copy' the 'address' in the long box in the tool bar. Then come back here and right click 'paste' so it should give an active link for us to follow.

It does work, or to be correct you can get the link to work, don't know whether it's deliberate but the gap between http and the colon should not be there, just put the cursor behind the colon and backspace then click to search and hey presto.

What does the ticket you received state on it? Is it a council-issued ticket?

The gap is deliberate ... the OP can't post real links yet. ;)
