hi, just trying to deal with my elderly disabled parents charge in the post for apparently over staying their welcome in a Aldi car park. seems they could only use the car park for 1hr 30 mins but left after 1hr 40mins according to the cctv screen shots leaving and entering the car park. not that clear proof that the car was entering/leaving that particular site either? the photos just show the car - one front and one back not even close enough to see a driver! they both have blue badges and i know that does not make them exempt but actually with their mobility problems it is not a long time for them to get their shopping done. Aldi will not get their custom again even though it is not their issue as the car park is private land but they won't risk it again. i get all the posts and advice on this so just want to check that i too should use the letter that Stromma suggested? parking eye have also taken 8 days to get the letter to them making them panic. also letter, in about a 24 point font clearly says charge is £70, but doesn't say so clearly [6 point font] that actually it is currently £40 as it is 'discounted'. on the back it says no refund if you overpay! sadly, the 10 minute overstay was partly due to them waiting in the entrance after shopping because it was absolutely tipping down with rain when they came out. i also think the 'further information' on the back is quite misleading re. DVLA invovlement. will seem to most [reading their charge in a panic] that the DVLA endorse/are on PE's side. so, i take it this case is no different and i'll send that letter? thanks.....

It will help you more if you start a new thread of your own as advice on this one should relate just to the original poster. Just copy and paste into a new thread, then we'll give you plenty of advice on how to get rid of this for your parents.

There's loads of things to do Aldi-wise. This forum and Pepipoo have really put the skids under them.
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.
