Santander 123 account - how long to open?

Nor me - pay substantially less than £225. But then I don't get out much

Just to update.
I now have a debit card and PIN, Part 2 letters for both Telephone banking and Online banking.
Just waiting on Part 1 for telephone and online banking. Seems odd that Part 2 arrived before Part 1 but maybe this is how it usually is?0 -
All set up now. Opened a 2nd one yesterday and it's showing online now too.
Need to decide if a 3rd one is necessary before they close it to 2 only.0 -

Glad you got it sorted.
I decided not to rush to beat the deadline. Nowhere near innovate's total, but I now have
4 x Nationwide FlexDirect
3 x LTSB & 3 x BoS Vantage
1 x Santander123 (might go for another)
1 x Co-op 'real'
current account)
plus assorted joint accounts.
Moving the £1k around every month is enough exercise and I really shouldn't have any more in cash:cool:.
Husband came up with a jolly wheeze yesterday, saying he could save me several £k
so I'm all ears.
A few weeks ago he suggested that I should buy the new Jaguar F type - around £59k I think
So yesterday, he suggests I buy a Porsche Cayman @ around £40k instead
My current car is a Renaultsport Clio vintage 2006 - so the words 'On Dream' and 'Hell's in Chance Cat not a' spring readily to mind :rotfl:0 -
PHEW. At least he didn't come up with any plans on how to save money on handbags and shoes. That could have been absolutely disastrous.
Keep looking after him, we don't want him to get frustrated. Best order that Porsche Cayman before the week's out. Bit of an ugly Porsche, though, the Cayman - does he really want you to commit a style offence, for the sake of £40K? Can you pacify him with a new Bang & Olufsson telly whilst you convince him otherwise?0 -

To be honest, he wouldn't know how to turn on a B & O TV. To say he's a technophobe is an understatement - can't use the address book function on our phone, and never mastered the Satnav on his previous car, let alone his current one
I think he just wants to recapture his lost youth - at my expense :rotfl:0 -

Unfortunately this isn't always guaranteed. I renewed only last week, current quote £239, Santander quote for equivalent service £367. I queried their offer and although they were apologetic they weren't able to match it let alone reduce it by 20%.0 -

FlexDirect is probably next on my list to do. Then BOS vantage. Problem starts when vantage goes to wanting direct debits before paying out.0
