How long after the online application did you receive any documents from Santander?
I applied last Wednesday but so far haven't heard anything.

I got a email within 48 hours stating account was accepted and opened, with about 5 to 10 working days for card, pin, online/phone banking details chequebook to arrive
you could ring them and ask, they will tell you straight away if your application was accepted.
online servicing is quite drawn out as they send various letters with different snippets of info for the required log in details0 -

Same for me got an email within 48 hours telling me the account had been accepted and got a letter a few days later telling me the account number and sort code and also what debit card and overdraft details were.
Card and pin took another few days and internet banking details the same.
I guess from account opening to getting everything was 7 to 10 working days.Time is a path from the past to the future and back again. The present is the crossroads of both. :cool:0 -
Thank you both.
After looking at their website and checking what should happen, I checked through my spam folder and I found the confirmation email and acceptance email, dated 12th and 13th of June!
I had checked the Junk folder but not the Spam folder as it was hidden away and I hadn't noticed there was a different one.0 -
make sure you mark santanders emails as safe, you will this week start getting details through your letter box and a nice bit of new plastic, welcome to the 123 club.0

and if you drive don't forget about santanders car insurance, they guarantee to reduce your best quote by 20% for us 123 account holders, mines due next month, amazing saving to be had by taking car insurance to Santander, believe they also do a good deal on home insurance.0

Yeah 30% off house insurance.0 -
yes £80 off a renewal of £400 car insurance, not to be sniffed at all.
Santander all the way for me now, 3% interest on £3000 or more, lots of cash back off direct debits, and now £80 off my car renewal quote, one of the best current accounts on the market, if not the best!0 -

Have you got a cooling down period? Is it worth the hassle of exercising your right under the cooling down period? How much would you gain?0
