    Twelve quid for a cab from Stortford ? Couldn't you get the 510 bus (if not travelling with children/large cases/otherwise impractical etc) ?

    We normally get it all the way from Old Harlow, never had a problem & no nonsense car parking charges.

    We have used Purple parking a few times at Stanstead and they were good, didn't charge for an extra day when our flight was delayed a couple of years ago.

    We are seeing someone off at the airport and want to park for around 2-3 hours.

    Can anyone suggest the best place to park at the airport?

    Sorry to rake up this old post- but I've just been charged under £90 for a week's parking at Stansted, including a night in the Hilton for two and a £25 voucher towards our evening meal... Via holiday extras website....
    Its a bit like rail travel; booked in advance with a bit of research and you can do London Manchester for £20 - turn up on a Monday morning un-booked and it'll be £150-200... Caveat emptor
