Stansted parking rip off

I have just been charged a whopping £25 to park long stay for less thn 24 hours. I used to pay just £8 odd. What's going on. Is it that stansted not being part of baa?

Did you get charged so much per day or part thereof?

Ie. arrive 23.00 and leave at 01.00 2 hours later would be two days, that sort of thing.

I've once listened to the who of the BBC news on the way to the car park only to be confronted by the ticket machine telling me it was well before midnight so don't trust the ticket machines to know when one day starts and another finishes.

Airport parking is expensive. Especially if you don't pre-book it.

I assume they publish their tariff before you enter the car park. The also put it on their web site.

I assume you parked across 2 different days.

If they parked across 2 different days then the charge should have been £32 and not the £25 that was charged.

mrs lds, are you sure that it was the official Stanstead long term parking that you used and not an independant company?

Stansted is owned by Manchester Airports Group (MAG) since beginning of this year.

Airport parking is always expensive, and the problem with short periods is that even leaving my car at home and getting a taxi in is £12 fixed fare each way, and I live in the first Hertfordshire town you come to.

Why is the price of something increasing a 'rip off'? You don't have to use the service.

I use the car park from 0500 till 2300 the same day. I used to pay £8 something last year.

Just poke to stansted airport parking and they said cheaper to NOT pre pay. It is £18 in mid stay as opposed to £25 in long stay same duration GO figure
