And the source for this wild claim? - they don't generally have the right to work here yet so I'd be interested to see some numbers on this 'flood' that's happening.

PS - The Daily Mail doesn't count as a reliable source

Are you David Cameron in disguise?

So I take it you don't have any details of the Bulgarians currently flooding the UK?

So did you just make it up for effect?

    I Googled and found this:
    http://www.expats.org.uk/links/

From that list, I would recommend britishexpats.com. I often have the same thoughts as the OP and so I have been spending time there to get an overview of expat life, to think about!

I love going away on holiday and am always sad to come home. But i would never want to live anywhere else, i've spent time in Australia and South Africa, wall to wall sunshine is lovely. For a while.

There's no place like home :)

History has proven what is likely to happen.
This government are keeping quiet as they do not want to commit to how many they really think will arrive but at the same time do not want to make a pigs ear of it as happened last time when 600 000 Polish arrived when barriers to work were lifted, with the Labour government predicting but 10% of that amount.
Both Romania and Bulgaria are significantly poorer than the UK and to many the streets of UK, France and Germany must surely be paved with gold.
With a combined population of about 28 million, compared to Polands 37 million , an equal spread of 150 000 each is possible across the 3 countries. However, we in the UK are renowned the world over for our welcoming and tolerant attitude towards immigrants, so I suspect we will have a larger percentage than France or Germany.
