                    As above
Just back from 12 days in Bulgaria.
It was AMAZING we went to the same place last year. Same staff at the hotel who remembered us the lot it made the holiday even more special and to add to it the hotel gave us a bottle of champers, chocolates and rose petals on the bed for when we arrived as they knew it was our second time.
Anyways we came back last Wednesday and I am really struggling.
I just feel life is wasted when I could be living in another country thats hot and "nice" if that makes sense. I have been miserable since the minute we left our hotel for the airport.
I know living/working abroad is not a holiday but I have mates who work/live in Oz and love it.
I just feel there is more to life than where we are.
We both have ok jobs and we own our house and live in a lovely area I just would love to live somewhere where i could walk on the beach at night ect. I hope this makes sense.
I am a Workshop Controller for a Car Dealership and my fiance is a General Assistant/Care Nurse for a nursing home. I am 27 and my partner 24.
Would there be a similar job for myself abroad?
Or does anyone have any advice.
I usually get the holiday blue but NEVER had it this bad. I have been lying n bed at night and its all i think about is how life is a waste over here when i could be abroad in far better weather conditions ect
Thanks in advance

You're totally right, get out of Poundland and get some sunshine, you only live once. I get depressed just thinking of the weather there.
It may not be paradise (it isn't) but waking up to sunshine makes a h*ll of a good start to the day.
Wherever you go be sure to see the place in all seasons (if applicable).
I usually wake up to sunshine 9+ months of the year and I'm the happiest most positive person I know (ask anyone) :j  :T
Paying heating bills is a mug's game.
 (N/A to Bulgaria)
This bit worries me though, "Would there be a similar job for myself abroad?"
It'll be a new start, things will be different - your job probably will.
 PS. I'm serious for once.0

We are exactly the same, returned from Lanzarote about 6 weeks ago and both of us have been looking at moving aboard - im defo that type of person who needs sun, even last week I struggled getting out of bed for work because it had gone dull where the weekend before we had lovely sunshine and was up at the crack of dawn. We attempted to stay in NZ 5 years ago after travelling there but I couldn't get a work visa thou my hubby (was bf then) could through the company he was working for...long story, but in the end we came back to the uk. I am glad now though as New Zealand is a very long way away!
Which hotel did you stay in in Bulgaria? I have been looking at holidays for September so any recommendations would be lovely! Many thanks.Proud mummy to an amazing 8 year old!0

Iberostar Sunnybeach - 2nd year ina row we have been and its AMAZING and I am a fussy !!!!!!.
I am the same I never used to be a "sun worshipper" but recently I have realised I am.
I have been with my misses 8.5 years and we don't have any kids just our house and cars. She is in the same idea as me. We don't know where or what we would do abroad but its properly set in its something we want to do. A holiday is not long enough anymore if that makes sense. It used to be but its not anymore.0

Maybe your best bet is to think about where you might want to live, then have a couple of weeks holiday right out of season in a rented place, not a hotel or holiday complex and see you you get on fending for yourself a little more,
No bottle of champers, chocolates and rose petals on the bed, cooking for yourself. Then take it from there.0

Thats exactly what my better half was just saying thats what we should do.
Something we don't want to rush into BUT it would be nice to just fly away haha.
It so happens my friend is about to open his bar in spain and has offered me work but I have been to where he is and not a huge fan of the place.
I shall continue with my research and bugging everyone on here.
Bob thanks for your info :0)0
