I wonder if it's competition between some parents, who can do the best party.

Ours (back in the day) were very traditional and home cooked party fayre, with pocket-money presents. No goody bags.

Sometimes a BBQ and a barn dance.

I'm glad we don't have to do parties any more. Really glad not to have to play pass the parcel with ILCs prizes either. They make my eyes water just looking at some of them

    Hi wingo,

We had sun for a few hours late this afternoon but it was dreadful before that and forecast bad. Hope things are going OK for you. Are you managing to comp at all? x

I can't be bothered to comp tbh Sheils :o I just check fb messages for family messages so haven't really bothered. Too much going on at the min with mum & DD so I'm not much company just yet. I've just entered for a mattress though! Could do with a new one, mines too noisy with the springs!
Did you enjoy your break? I forgot where you said you were going (sorry :o)

So annoying choosing as so many types and prices! *there is (was) a bed guy on MSE*

My current 3yr old bed is a memory foam with pocket springs which is good. (the springs or base do creak now though)

Previously I had one from Courts which was great for 10 yrs + (salesman did a good job)

Before that I had a crap one from Argos which only lasted a couple of years.
