So glad you had a lovely day sheils. About the adder - Fred says that must be a plus. His tongue is too sharp by far. Enjoy your wine and meal.

Firefly - thanks for the refreshments will have a cold beer after the way I have worked today.

Paadzer - you certainly did well getting all that stuff.

    Some chocolates for afterwards folks.

Thanks Sylvia - just had a Tassimo Coffee so a choc will go down well.

Had never seen an Adder before and neither had DH who was moaning we didn't get a pic! Saw an enormous bird of prey hovering about too - not a Red Kite (loads in our area)
Hope everyone has had a good day too. I am looking forward to Blackpool now although I don't think DD has packed yet. No-one in when we got home.

Adders here are numerous - however they tend to come out and bask in the warm weather, else, if conditions are not to their liking, they stay hidden in the greenery.

Have a fab time in Blackpool. Alf xxxxx :)

Thanks Alf. Wondered about peeps with dogs - didn't see anyone with any while we were up on the hill. This snake wasn't very big but it got into its I am going to bite position and scared me :o
We walked up to see a poets book statue to Hugh McDiarmid although we had never heard of him and then walked another 3/4 mile up hill to see a huge obelisk statue to Sir John Malcolm who we hadn't heard of either :rotfl: Have read up on them now. Wonderful views anyway.

They very rarely attack sheils, maybe if they may feel threatened. He was prob more scared of you :D Hence dogs, kids etc running though undergrowth, can be a worry here. Peeps are warned to wear good footwear just in case. Met a few in me time when out walking, tend to trot round them and give them a wide berth!! :D xxx
