Yep David - what the guy says re 5:2 diet is that there is evidence that because you are fasting the body turns to burning up your stored body fat at a much quicker rate as it is not busy digesting food in your stomach. Yes eat normally on the other 5 days - what ever that is for you . Too much dieting on non fasting days may put your body into starvation mode - where it holds on to fat for as long as possible despite lower calorie intake rather than burning it off.
I love that if you really fancy something its easier to say well hang on in there with fast today and have some... (whatever it is) tomorrow ..... Whereas with others its like - oh can't have it full stop. Usually by the time the next day comes around you are not so bothered about the thing you were fixated on.
Whenever you feel hungry have a drink of water or tea.
But yes - you can't go mad on the other 5 days - just normal (almost a third less calories a week that way - as you said balance book - but the fat supposed to burn off quicker). When The Fun Stops Stop0 -

i have one that is blocked from 25th may. still computer says no.
i am glad it's not only me though. plus it's better that it's the phone. I was worried it was linked to IP addresses.
i did phone asda and complain as i had an innocent shop, they told me that they were aware of the problem but my giftcard hasn't arrived yet. but i can't keep phoning and i have another for 11 pound.
oh well we have to womble harder. My asda is only 5 minutes from home so i'll try tomorrow and let you know.
Oh no, don't say that, this is the first day for months I have a decent womblecould really do with it this month as well.
hopefully they will fix the problem soon. x0 -
I am just planning my supper too.
Making jelly shortly from my ww sachets. I will miss my mars bars:o but it's only a day, so it's fine (Dotty do watch the documentary, link in this post here http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/...postcount=8647)
The 5;2 is not only for weight loss but for general health too, the benefits are wonderful. You will see once you watch the Horizon docu:)
For me supper tomorrow- I think I'll go for a one egg omlette, with a veggi sausage sliced up and cooked into it as well as red onions and sliced mushrooms. I will have a dollop of low fat cottage cheese on the side or 1 new potato. and then 2 servings of orange sugar free jelly which I'm making up with grapes and pieces of pineapple in it:)honestly my point was just it is not a pass to eat as much as you want for 5 days and the weight will drop off you because of the other 2. Again good luck to all that are doing it :T

I might have to print it and pop it on the fridge as I can see that the next few weeks will be tough again having to leave the boys every day.
Hoped it might help .. sorry about the tears bit. But hope the bits in bold helped too - bless you logie - good luck for next week.0 -

Looks like we'll have a report back on the Harpic in Mr Ts shortly after midnight so stay tuned night shift!
Also I love that you guys don't judge or laugh. It's difficult to share this kind of thing with people sometimes as you can get some negative responses.Debt free 6th December 2014
