When DS1 bought his first car in January probably a year or more since he past his test and had last driven, in at the deep end proper country roads (drops at the sides) motorway and dual carriageways figured better for him to do it with me in than either worry about it or do it wrong  oh and all in the dark :D

The best advice I ever had was to have two lessons. I passed my test at 17 but didn't drive until 23 (no point at uni). I took two lessons where the instructor taught me how to drive, not how to pass a test. Taught me loads about clutch control and took me out o the motorways and major A roads. It really did make a massive difference to my confidence.

Pass+ I've heard does similar and can save you on your insurance.
I am firmly across the line. I won't impose my values on you if you keep away from mine.

Good evening everybody I hope you have enjoyed the day. Congratulations to everyone sticking to the 5:2 diet.

I had a lovely whoopsie shop in Mr A got loads of meat for 20p and loads of other stuff I hit it at the right time. My freezer is getting very full again.

Went to Mr T got fruit whoppsied it was going well until some people there started to push staff to get to the reduced stuff. It was awful and they just stopped reducing things. I think they are going to look at cameras the staff were not happy at all. I really don't blame them
Was bad last time I went to arthas local about 3 weeks ago nearly came to blows between 2 scratters  the staff are doing a job I wouldn't want to be jostled around at work

Well I had a drama with a deflated tyre last night. Long story but I ended up changing a tyre on the hard shoulder of the M6 at 11.30 PM last night:eek::eek:.....I Taught him how to do it ages ago, there's some stuff that passing your driving test never prepares you for ;)

Pass+ does not give you the savings now that it used to or not in his case anyway.

But yes far better for someone to do that for confidence reasons if nothing else, or go out with an experienced driver on motorways etc
