OMG! DD being such hard work again! We have had her friend over 2 Sundays in a row and picked her up, dropped her off, bought her lunch, paid for them both to go swimming both weeks. DD now wants to go to her house and go off around the estates this girl lives near - I have said no way, I don't know the girls mum, I don't want her wandering the streets God knows where. I have no problem with them going swimming, going to the cinema or going somewhere but not allowing her to simply go out to trail around just anywhere. She then announces oh it wouldn't have been over where she lives anyway she wants to go up and hang around by her nans.

So I am big bad mum again, I am not giving in she is only 12, and we are having a weekend off this weekend from having others over and her being ferried anywhere. Cue mega strops and really mouthing off at me. I have warned hubby not to try to placate her, she needs to understand no is no or we will have major probs in a couple of years.

Apologies for the rant - still writing bl00dy reports too.

Agree - 12 is way too young to just hang, but maybe if she is good friends with this girl you need to get to know her mum?

I pity those you are writing reports for :eek::D

Pretty sure that the crumpets are on offer in co-op for 50p at the mo. I could be wrong though

    Afternoon Good people

I'm gonna be in Loughborough town centre most of the day on Saturday, I've never been before and of course I'm looking for FREE parking :)

The cheapest I can find is £4.50 all day at Carillion Shopping Centre.
I can see Sainsbury's and Regent Place Retail Park have parking available - assume they are free - but are they restricted to 2 or 3 hours or something similar

TIA if anyone knows anything about Loughborough

Sorry I can't help you with the parking thing as I don't go that often and when I do I usually take my Mother who is disabled so we park free. The reason i'm replying is that Loughborough is undergoing loads of changes and some of the roads are closed or severely restricted... there's a warning on the local radio most mornings talking of it being slow/non moving traffic so consider this if you have to be there for a certain time.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, we are keeping away until it gets better :)

you should try the turning mechanism before you hang slates to see if it works. if you got the slates overlapping the wrong way, could stop them turning
if they ate closed, try over lapping them the other way.ie the one in front put behind
