How often do unfurnished properties come with white goods?

Are they generally included? Not often? Never?

I am asking because "unfurnished" to me is talking about furniture, and white goods aren't furniture.

The properties I have I let unfurnished but provide white goods and would replace them if they went wrong.

This is an important point because some leases state that the landlord will not replace or repair white goods that are provided so do check!

Usually unfurnished rentals do have the basic white goods, e.g. cooker, fridge.
But you have to ask for each property as in the past I have found certain goods have not been included like washing machine and freezer, even when they were there during the viewing they actually belonged to the tenant.

There is no rule or law on this. And no definition of 'furnished'.

    So read the description/inventory.

But most LLs provide cooker/fridge & maybe freezer even in unfurnished.

it's actually annoying sometimes, because i own my own white goods, and LLs get funny about storage costs. in general it is included, but always worth asking

Our unfurnished property came with no white goods. Additionally, the plug sockets were in really strange places...we couldn't for the life of us work out how any had been in before we'd arrived. The washing machine and fridge freezer were both placed where we thought they should be, but we did have to create a hole in the worktop to plug the washing machine in, and the plug for the fridge freezer is hidden in a cupboard and carefully stuck to three different cupboard doors to keep it out of sight. It's over the opposite side of the room!

Did make us wish when we'd viewed that we'd at least paid attention to where the existing tenants had put everything, but we viewed when they were at home and felt very uncomfortable looking round!

ETA: there was an integrated cooker, at least.

We only provided a new cooker. No washing machine or fridge freezer . This was on advice of letting agent but we had decided if a deal breaker we would have provided.

I let my flat with white goods, mainly because the kitchen is fully integrated! But as the others have said, there is no rule and it will vary between properties.
