What's this about?
If you're house hunting (or just a bit nosey) you might like this nifty little website. Propertysnake.co.uk allows you to find properties in your area where the asking price has dropped, just by typing in your postcode.
You can also clickon the links to view the full price history of a specific house – a useful bargaining tool if you’re planning to make an offer. Plus separately there's also Nethouseprices which will show you the sales prices for all houses in your street.

PS. Have you read the Council Tax Reclaiming Guide?
PPS. It seems MoneySaver Nelly had posted this elsewhere too, thanks to him
Update 30 May:
The propertysnake site is struggling to cope with demand today, so if you find it super-slow, it may be worth checking back a little later on.

Fantastic site. Would be good if they could make a partnership with that site that tells you how much property has sold for in the area so you could make an accurate opinion of whether it's a true bargain or if it's just been over valued by an agent!I am a Mortgage Adviser. This site is great. My job is to help people sell their homes when they are stuck on the market, so I can now find those people who need my help the most - thanks Martin.
I know that's not why you put details of this site there, but now I can help people sell their homes quicker and for their asking price and do it while earning money to help with my stuff - win win situation! This is an absolutely BRILLIANT site !!!!
We are currently moving home and still in the process of finding a house. Have noticed several price drops on Rightmove but could never quantify but just how much unless we had some old details printed off (so much so that I had built a spreadsheet to track any house price moves manually but don't need it anymore).
This is a fantastic tool, thanks Martin and thanks to those involved in the site !0 -
Interesting site, although i am pretty sure i wouldn't want to live in a 0 bedroom gift shop0

I've just had a look and there's a message saying "The site has been absolutely flooded with requests today, so we are having to put temporary limits in place as our server simply can't cope with the demand! We should be moving to a new server in the next couple of days so please be patient with us until then - thanks!"
It appears that by publicising their site, you've managed to crash their server, Martin!0 -
It was hardly working a week ago when it was first posted. You couldn't click thru to any sites and a search was taking 15-25mins. Hopefully they fix it up as its quite interesting site.0
