In a nutshell -
Parked in a disabled bay with a motorbility vehicle displaying a disabled tax disc. Set the Blue Badge clock.
The blue badge had fallen off the dashboard and onto the seat.
Appealed online.
Got a reply today of 'appeal denied' with a whole lot of blosh about not being able to prove disability after the event, etc , etc and the problems they have with non-disabled folks parking in disabled bays and demanding £95
The tax disc has DISABLED written across it for all to see.
There were some 12 disabled car park spaces at the entrance to Debenhams. Only my car was parked there.
Shall I just now ignore PCM altogether?

I presume PCM are a private parking company and not a council yes ?When posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. They DO monitor the forum.
We don't need the following to help you.
Name, Address, PCN Number, Exact Date Of Incident, Date On Invoice, Reg Number, Vehicle Picture, The Time You Entered & Left Car Park, Or The Amount of Time You Overstayed.

Yes that is correct0

Just ignore them and have a nice life.0

Yes you should appeal it....
I have a feeling we spoke earlier and I emailed you the appeal text?
Info@popla.me.uk ?
If not email and I shall sort out appeal for u.
Worried Jim, the concencious is tht all invoices should be appealed now...Proud to be a member of the Anti Enforcement Hobbyist Gang.:D:T0 -

Nope, why would he do that when the Meadowhall retail park Managing Agents know about this issue and could be sued by the OP (as they know)?
The OP should read trubster's thread on pepipoo:
http://forums.pepipoo.com/index.php?showtopic=75213
If the OP wants to join pepipoo and pm trubster I think they'd understand why a POPLA appeal (with winning wording like that shown on trubster's thread - it would be really amusing to repeat the wording verbatim!!) is only the beginning!PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Good for you, why should you have to prove your need to a scammer who is simply out to make a fast buck from any genuine disabled person whose badge 'slips down'!Fantabulous wrote: »Got a reply today of 'appeal denied'...
If they gave you a POPLA code you will need to appeal to POPLA with a 'long and strong' POPLA appeal letter that we specialise in on this forum! See post #14 here for general POPLA info:
https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/4653023
and trubster's thread for his actual POPLA appeal that won (same as you, disabled visitor scammed at Meadowhall, so copy from his appeal about the Equality Act).
If they didn't give you a 10 digit POPLA verification code then demand one from PCM and remind them about 'the case with the person with the disabled passenger who won at POPLA a couple of months ago' and warn that they will regret crossing you, just as they and the Managing Agent at Meadowhall seriously regretted that case.PRIVATE 'PCN'? Thank you for the input.
Will take a look at the thread from trubster and see from there.0 -
That thread is amazing!
One extra point - have just discovered, when telling a newish friend about all of this - that she used to be a Traffic Warden in London.
Apparently, a Traffic Warden, before issuing a ticket for a vehicle parked in a disabled bay but showing no Blue Badge HAS TO check the VED first.0 -
Have composed an email for Popla from the Forum mentioned above.
Have taken a photo of my VED to attach to the Popla appeal.0
