As an Englishman this strikes me as ironic.
I've always thought of the Irish as the "slowest, most laid back" nation in the world
.
Maybe that's just the South?0 -

Been with the Northern ( Danske ) for 40 years with personal and business accounts. Only ever had 1 problem, which they admitted was a mistake on their part.
Of course things have changed over the years and where I once new who the manager and pro manager were, now I have no idea and have no contact with them. In fact I was last in my own branch 20 years ago!
However, when I posted cheques to the branch, they showed on my account balance, the day the cheque was received. While I knew the cheque wouldn't have been cleared by that point, I never understood the process.
