    Another manic day!

More digger/dumper work in the morning.

In the afternoon, I had to drive a table to somewhere close to the coast. Sounds boring, but this was no ordinary table! Measuring 9' across, this was a very special bespoke garden table, made by our builder for a regular client. :)

    Here's half of it:

I honestly didn't think it would go in the van, but believe it or not, the two parts just fitted, one on top of t'other. It took three of us, struggling like mad, to get each half in. Getting them out was better, but it still needed three.

Back at the house, the others drained down the oil tank into suitable containers, shifted it off its breeze block and concrete stand, demolished that and dug down for the foundations of our next bit of building. It was just as well I was somewhere else! :rotfl:

Glad it is not just me that succumbed to putting on the heating Rummer. Is everyone better now? Well done on your bulb purchases, I've been looking on-line but haven't found any bargains yet :( Will be getting some winter pansies soon to put in the tubs in the autumn.

That table looks glorious Dave, the wood is so beautiful. I think I wouldn't want to put it in the garden in case it got bird poo on it.

Well putting the heating on gave me a little burst of energy. Our heating is either on or off - so the house was toasty :D I found a nice new lappy for Mr BD which was reduced by £80; being delivered today.

Then as I was on a roll I thought I will have one last try at getting his old lappy going so he can rescue his photos and music library. And to my amazement found something to try online and it worked. Danced a little jig round the room, not often it is BD 01, Computers 00 :rotfl:

Mr BD spotted the chickens having a group dust bath, they looked so happy and relaxed (of course the dust bath I have supplied them with has been spurned, although to be fair it isn't big enough for four ;))

It is a good idea to be alone in a garden at dawn or dark so that all its shy presences may haunt you and possess you in a reverie of suspended thought.

Wow, that is some table Dave! I would be worried keeping that in the garden facing all the elements.

I'd mainly be worried about reaching into the middle to clean I it , wipe it down and reach for things than had been pushed deep ly into the centre during a lovely long companionable meal.

Its hard to get good sized garden furniture for decent size garden hosting. Its often the biggest entertainment space you have but the table seats no more than the dining table! Even options for ten and twelve seaters, in our hunt, seem expensive and not that great. I think we're looking at something less smart and home cobbled.

My dream would be if I could find a way to make fabric I like water proof, on a big scale. Out door fabric and those sails aren't really my style.

If you can rustle up the odd £3k, I can get you one like that, or a rectangular long one where you could reach the centre. :D

Just tried to pay building control, but they are not accepting money today! Love living here! :rotfl:

If I could rustle up the odd three k I'd be putting it towards my roof fund :((, buckets all over the place on the attic ATM. And a bucket in RP's bedroom in heavy rainfall weeks for overflow!
