We've have had a lovely day here, with superb weather for the time of year, but I haven't done a lot. :o That didn't stop me coming in, flopping on the sofa and sleeping for 90 minutes though! :o:o I handed over a brace of pheasants, skinned and trimmed etc and now they are almost ready.....

My news is that the Highways Dept finally turned-up, armed and ready to do proper battle with the huge puddle which forms here. So, we now have a set of traffic lights and a long channel in the road leading to the errant drain. There will be no going back now.

And it's only taken something in excess of 20 years. :)

    CTC ..............

The salvage yard is in Silian,a small village on the outskirts of Lampeter, just off the Tregaron road,

    and ROZEE.........

Your friends in Cardigan may be interested in a timber yard outside the town ,up by the sand and gravel quarry, supprising what he gets in as well.

    :D:D:D
    Alfie, you are amazing :)

does that mean you want the top level of door frame level with top level of window ?
mine arent !! in my lounge i have 3 windows, one tiny, and two same size but one is set about 18" higher than other [so window sills are diff levels ] the door top is level with tiny window but other 2 are taller and lower ... and i hadnt really thought about it till now....:rotfl::rotfl:

if they have to highten door frame it may be a problem fitting/getting taller door if its a big difference..

or im toatally getting what you mean wrong..;) :D
hehe, Alf, I see where you're coming from, but the window and the door are right next to each other. If it wasn't for this, it wouldn't be so bad.

    I've been Money Tipped!
I think it depends on proportions and style. I'm looking at this sort of thing (I think) on google image now, and some look good at door height, some, IMO, look better different heights.

    ...

I suppose we did have quite a hectic start. <mad hoovering & dusting smilie >

My old boss from a long time back rang to say he & his wife were down our way and they would be here in about an hour for morning coffee.....
We were just about to have breakfast!:o:eek::o:rotfl:
But it's always nice to see old friends, and good of people taking time to find us in these rural parts.

Right, here is the evidence of the work in progress, and the weather.

This is what we have been trying to stop...

That's only a small van and the spray is fairly modest. Buses, lorries and big 4x4s are much worse. It all ends up in our front garden. :(

Worse still, it's dangerous, especially when the weather is icy, and it makes the bus stop here unpleasant for people to use in wet weather.

That picture was shot in November. The wee hedge is coming along well, so it will get its first trim in the spring. :)
